Wondered who might be planning to purchase the New Ipad (that's what they are calling it)? Impressive graphics and a few other things. But my Ipad2 does the job, so I don't know if it's worth it to have the latest toy. What's your take?

No. Trying to keep up with Apple is not possible. I have an iphone and an ipad that work just fine. Might look at the iphone 5 when it comes out if they drop the price. Played with Suri at the store and liked it, but not enough to get the 4S knowing the 5 is coming. I think there mission is to keep changing things so fast you can't ever figure out all the features.

No. We have thinking about our 1st venture into the iPad world but with the new one coming out at $629 I suspect the iPad2 price might come down a bit and the difference between the two has me more inclined to buy the iPad2.

I've been strictly a PC user since 1984 when the IBM AT was introduced.
Currently do not own any Apple products. My kids and kids-in-laws do have them.
So the answer is, wait for it. YES, but doubt if I'll get the 4G LTE version.
Will wait a month or so just in case there are issues... :BigApplause:

I am obsessing on what to do. I have the 3G 64 Gbit IPAD 2 but I am a techno geek. I would only get it if I could sell the one I have for a good price! I may try!

I’m still using the original Ipad without any operating issues. I’ll probably hang on to it for a few more years before I upgrade to a newer version – I’d rather get a new set of Irons…

Well, I took the plunge.... put in a pre-order today on apple.com with delivery on 3/16. 32GB WiFi. Don't need the 4G.
I have the original iPad 1 and love it. Thought the iPad 2 was an incremental improvement, so, skipped it. The 3 will have lots of improvements over the original and I just like my techie toys. Mr 07 gets my hand me downs.
For the person who thought buying a cheaper 2 now is the way to go, I would suggest spending the extra $100 to get the 3. I believe the improvements are worth it. Much improved display, faster processor, improved camera.
Kudos to apple for maintaining the price structure and piling on new features each year.
This from someone who has owned personal computers since the late 70s (Radio Shack TRS-80), was always a Windows person, and bought my first Apple product with the iPad 1 18 months ago.

No, both my wife and I have the IPad 2 and there is no way we could justify the cost of upgrading to the new one.

It's nice and it's FAST! The clarity of the screen is amazing.
I will be getting one. With the new 5.1 operating system it will replace a laptop for most!
I wonder if BEST BUY will be over run? After the Christmas season those that bought the 2 with the buy it back plan will be wanting to return them for the 3

Ipad3 well since I only received my Ipad2 last summer as a birthday gift from my wife and it works great for all my needs. My wife would might kill me if I purchased the new one now.
So Honey if you are reading this, pretty please can I spend money on a new toy.

Cover (probably same as for the Ipad 2) for my New Ipad (not certain I like the name) is on the way. Hope the Ipad follows closely. Then, I have to determine how to get the Ipad2 set-up for my lady friend.

I feel your PAIN! Opps Honey I backed over it with the car, dropped it in bath tub or you could have a carefully planned senior moment. It fell out of the Golf Cart! or
Gee I thought it was a sandwich and microwaved it. Now we need a new iPad and a new microwave!:high five:
Maybe not a good idea?

Heard on the news 2 days ago that iPad2 prices will be discounted by $100 once iPad3 is released on 3/16. Maybe the discounts on iPad2 have started already.
I should check out the prices on the original iPad that came out -- was it 2 yrs. ago? The "original" iPads should really be discounted by now.
I have the commodore 64 computer and it has too much power for me. Why go to the expense of an Ipod or Ipad?

:) :). I still have 2 big old tube televisions that I purchased in 2000 in my house. I don't have flat panel televisions (yet). My soon to be 82 year old dad has 2 flat panel televisions in his house. It's time for a television upgrade in the upcoming year I'm thinking if my dad is ahead of me in television technology.
I love playing with my coworker's iPad, but I just don't know if I can justify the expense. My 4 year old laptop needs an upgrade in the next year, and that will set me back $500.00 to get the features I want.
Advances in technology are almost overwhelming. You spend $500 on piece of technology, and 3 years later it's like an antique.

Verizon today let me return / trade in our iPad 2 bought in December and let us pre-order the 3
We got it for the screen 4g and processor speed. I believe they will replace laptops some day.
