enclosed our lanai last year and we are thrilled with the work. He is a gentleman and his crew are terrific. He stays within his quote and is easy to work with. His after sales service is great too.

We have just completed our lanai enclosure using Blackburn Brothers Construction. Very happy with the project and results. Got all approvals, permits, inspections needed and we didn't have to worry about a thing.
We probably talked to 20 companies, got bids from 8-10, and chose Blackburn. Got a good written estimate, excellent referrals, and looked at lots of his work. He stuck to his estimate, didn't overcharge or add in any suprises.
Call Kevin Blackburn at 352-821-0165 (office) or 352-427-9115.
note - I am not Kevin Blackburn nor am I related to him. I'm just a happy customer. More importantly, my wife is happy.

Kevin Blackburn just completed my lanai enclosure. He started the job on June 1st and I just handed him the final check yesterday as the job was completed last week, the end of October! We have a regular lanai (our home is a Lily), no stretch. We had sliding glass doors installed.
He never showed up during the day to check in with us or the subcontractors to see how things were moving along. He claimed that he was coming at 5:00 am to check in on the job. Unfortunately things did not go smoothly and one thing after another with poor communication as Kevin was only available by phone.
I felt that I was overseeing the subcontractors and if I saw something that wasn't right I would have to call him to report it.
This is not how I have worked with contractors in the past. If the job goes smoothly I suppose it works, but if there are issues you end up with a simple job that takes 4 months to complete.

I just spoke with Kevin yesterday on a follow-up question. He was readily available and his sub was at our place an hour or so later. He does have a pretty good group of experienced subs who always came to our house well prepared and knowledgeable about what we needed and what they had to get completed. They didn't need a lot of supervision but Kevin was available when we had a question.
Still extremely happy with our enclosed lanai, especially with today's cooler temps.

To Mallory,
I am happy that his services worked out for you. He came highly recommended to us which is why we chose him and we had seen his work ahead of time too and the homeowners were satisfied. Without going into detail of everything that happened, I just wanted to warn others of our incident.
When you are spending the kind of money that he charges you expect the best. Lessons are learnt each day.

I do hope, however, that you enjoy your enclosed lanai as much as we have even if you did not achieve the 100% satisfaction that we did.

We used T&D and have been extremely happy.
We too were very pleased with T&D for Lanai and birdcage. Definitely not the cheapest, but good quality and stand by their work.
