Just offering an editorial from the Washington Post concerning President Obama's failures....

Lets start with the good..

"Obama looks relatively good, for now, on the big problems he inherited: the wars and al-Qaeda. What could go missing is a discussion about the president’s performance on his own priorities for foreign affairs — the initiatives he chose to launch."

Then the writer goes over all the initiatives from Obama himself...

......failed Israeli/Palestinian situation.....he entered office and set a goal of Palestinian settlements in two years but instead he has driven Israel away from peace (and us) insisting that Israel stop construction.

......Global nuclear arms...he received the Nobel Peace Prize for a speech he gave but he has had ZERO success in those things he promised to do.

....The biggest is his promise and what was basic to his 2008 run that he would engage with our adversaries directly and he gave that famous speech in Cairo to the muslim world. As of now, his popularity in the muslim world is very low and none of the promised direct talk has worked.

My opinion, this is not all his fault, but to me, it shows what lack of any experience can do and how his general attitude has suffered this country very much.

Read it...disagree if you wish...it does have complimentary things to say but when you weigh the above and consider what he is being given credit for (getting after some of Al Queda) WHERE HE HAS CONTINUED ALMOST EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM OF THE PREVIOUS CONDEMNED ADMINISTRATION to accompish that, it is not a great resume.

I am sure you understood the article but your interpreting leaves so much to be called fair. This is most likely an honest mistake on your part and I suggest you do re-reading a few times so you grasp what was said by the opinion author.

one could intelligently argue that American foreign policy has been an abject failure since the end of the Marshall Plan. I can only hope that Pres. Obama and those that follow realize that military intervention everytime we feel threatened is no longer an option for America. We must find other ways to do things.
