Last year I made a suggestion to cut back all shrubs blocking the view of oncoming vehicle traffic. I also called those in charge to let them know about this problem. They said they would look at the areas I mentioned and possibly do some trimming. But I'm not sure anything was ever done.
In some places, like medians, they just have the wrong kind of plantings. They have shrubs that, in time, get big. Some of them, around the Publix area on 466, are so tall that you can't see the headlights of cars coming at night. It's a dark area of the roadway so you can't see anything until you get half way across 466 (heading toward Par Drive).
Then on Par Drive heading into Belvedere, you can't see traffic at night coming from 466, The headlights are below the shrubs in a poorly lit area of the roadway. Even during the day you might not see some low profile vehicles.
Why do they ask for suggestions and then do nothing about the problem areas? I think one reason is that they never see how bad it can be a night.
