Figured the topic would get some attention. Thanks for looking. I am down visiting and not a golfer and my usual spots for pictures of gators I haven't found any. Does anyone know where I can take some pics? I could recycle old ones but that isn't fair. My friends asked me to take some and I can't find any?

On exiting LSL, just before you go over the bridge, there is a 9 foter lurking in the small pond adjacent to the spillway.
Over on Tarpon Boil and Red Fish run golf courses, there are ponds that each house gators!
You never know where those reptiles will show up. A while ago, there was a small gator in the little pond across the street from the Caroline mail station. Sometimes you can see gators over near the pond near Sunrise Park.... the pond closer to 466.
Sometimes one can see them in Lake Sumter...and they're quite visible while walking along the boardwalk. Other times you might see one at the pond near Arnold Palmer Country Club....on Buena Vista.
Mating season for the gators is rapidly approaching....you might hear the males bellowing. Be especially careful at this time....they're very territorial and aggressive...ah, hormones.... ;)

I played Cane Garden last Thursday and on Allamanda 9 there is two connecting ponds beside the 6th green and 7th tee, we counted five gators. It's not too hard to get to. If you're southbound on Baileys Trail when you get to St. Charles make a left at the light into Liberty Park. In a short ways you'll go past the Liberty Park Rec Center and then you'll see the golf course on your left and right as it crosses the road. Turn right onto one of the cart paths (in your golf cart) and you'll see the first of the two ponds almost immediately. If you're coming south on Buena Vista then make a right onto St. Charles.

I see them occasionally when I go paddleboarding on Lake Miona, right at the small public park. Earlier in the morning is usually better, as once people (especially those fishing from the park's dock) start showing up the gators tend to move to quieter areas.

That's not a good suggestion as non-golfing traffic (cart or walking) is not allowed on the courses at any time.
