Thanks to management for being tolerant of me on this forum. I am logging out for the good of the entire TV site. I feel it would be better to do that than try any longer to attempt at Bi-Partisanship discussion on this forum. This is a radical conservative Forum without hope of change. Thanks to those that have tried to make it better.

Goodbye.

Sorry to see you go. Not sure why I am posting this though, if you are not going to see it.

VillagerII, don't go. We need some sanity here and you provide a balance between liberal and conservative. Iowans and former Federal employees do not quit. Come one and say you will stick it out.

This:

"This is a radical conservative Forum without hope of change."

is an out to lunch statement. To use it as a statement as to why one would leave this forum only states your opinion....which is all most of us do. And to think for one moment you measure whether you have converted anybody here is a measure of success or not is also out to lunch.

It is so very simple to maintain ones opinion and to stand and be counted for ones beliefs. Even more simple to ignore that with which one disagrees. To engage in a political, for lack of a better description, contest with the notion or objective to either "win" or change the opposition's stance is a rather lofty, unobtainable objective.

In quitting, an adversary, real or imagined does not win, the quitter loses!!!!

PS....I forgot to mention your opinion quoted above, in my opinion, is so completely wrong. You apparently have not been exposed to REAL radicals.

... and the BIG BULLY wins again, giving the Bully the power that gets his jollies off. The bully has no other life. This is the bully's life. TOTV needs a NO BULLYING POLICY. There is a difference between disagreeing and just being downright nasty for the purpose of degrading others. I wonder how many we've lost because of the bully. I'll bet the bully keeps a list.

A sucker punch to the gut used to stop them when I was a child. They didn't expect it.

your leaving the political forum will do nothing to enlighten those you allege to be radical conservatives who post here...but then your disparaging posts do that, too.

it's a shame that you cannot tolerate the posters here who tolerate you...just my opinion.

buh-bye.

C'mon now, TV II ..... where else are you going to find comedy like this?

Whenever, I need a laugh I think to myself ..... I know, check out the newest political posts on TV - reading the stuff the cons post here is so hilarious, it borders on insanity !!!!!!!

If I may be allowed to "borrow" a phrase from the failed 1/2 governor of Alasky, and failed VP candidate, and brilliant Faux News ... ahem ..."analyst"

... you certainly can't refudiate that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, where do those planes go?

Stick around, TV II

How can we have any serious discourse when those in Washington where it should all begin cannot. This game of "one upmanship" permeates our landscape and poison our country. Add to that the elimination of even attempting a question knowing that it will be met with political correctness creates the decision of one dropping out.

For some of us we have forgotten how to have an intelligent debate and for others well they just never were taught.

yup if some of us can tolerate/ignore some of the name calling, the slandering, the putting down of anything opposite a belief, then anybody should be able to tolerate anything posted.

How very narrow of scope and ridiculous is that thinking......but very, VERY consistent.

We will keep an eye towards a possible reincarnation!

Was a time, and it wasn't too long ago, when all the R's wanted to talk about was the War on Terror. However, our Commander-In-Chief pretty much took care of that.

Nowadays, "Intelligent debate" to a Con centers around birth certificates and contraception. That is, when they're not talking about cutting taxes and starting more wars.

maybe you could start a new thread about how much safer we are and that we can all relax and tell us all about:

"However, our Commander-In-Chief pretty much took care of that."

Please don't try to convince us the war on terror is less of an issue because OBL is dead. That happens to be just one box checked on a very long list of what needs to be done to even begin to think that it is "... pretty much took care of ...".

I would also be interested in the folksy names you have for the participants who took care of it!

I will give Obama credit where credit is due.

What irritates me is that what he is doing in the fight on terrorism, he actually spoke sarcastically of what the previous administration was doing and how they were robbing our freedom, AND HE CONTINUES all of it...

PLUS going the route of KILLING overseas instead of jailing.

I am not criticizing him in any way...simply pointing out the hyprocrisy of the words.

Coralway: You really could contribute positively to this forum becaue you appear to have passion for the subject. All you need do now is address the issues and leave personalities, out of it, and not paint any one group with a wide brush. There is only one real absolute in life and that is death which by the way we are all attempting disprove.

Personal Best Regards:

Are we seriously suggesting life without parole was a reasonable option. You might want to check with the World Trade Center families!

EXCUSE ME...I DID leave out one word....and this is factual

killing AMERICANS over seas with no trial if suspected of terrorist activity.

Dont get me wrong and turn this around....I never criticized Obama for the war on terror....BUT for him or anyone to be boasting about doing things the previous administration did AND WERE SUBJECT TO HIS DERISION.

Sorry for leaving out the word AMERICAN...in my opinion, that changes it a bit.

"The U.S. government is legally justified in killing its own citizens overseas if they are involved in plotting terror attacks against America, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday, offering the Obama administration's most detailed explanation so far of its controversial targeted killing program."

I would appreciate it very much if you would reread all my posts AND THOSE to who I was responding and then EXPLAIN what you mean.

Thank you

Too much to do today to be bothered by faldarall. I think the message said it all.

Lets see, War on Terror, a couple dozen killed and over 200 wounded in Iraq yesterday and good ole Al Quada takes credit. Seems to me that killing OBL was just a blip on the radar. Seems as though it did not change anything for the good, other than to make us feel better. I believe he needed killing but that was not the game changer that the current administration made it out to be.

With all due respect I am not used to a one liner that makes no sense "saying it all" but I suppose I should be used to it.

Sorry that we bother you in anyway with the "faldarall" on here. We should simply just sit back and read your one line ridicule and learn from that.

Sorry again....sure did not mean to question you in anyway ! I will simply have to learn my place and take whatever name you use for me !

But I did look up "Faldarall" and the definition says "a showy but worthless trifle" I really did not think my asking you to READ and explain was showy but appreciate that you feel that way.

I will learn not to post worthless trifle...will read your posts and surely can learn much from the depth and civil tone exhibited in them.

Thanks for taking time to at least respond. I am honored.
