Are you satisfied with their performance? Customer service?
They have the best pricing of all carriers I have compared to date.

My experience with Progressive as far as customer service and care is outstanding. They go the extra mile. We were with them for 6 years before we moved to Florida. Our motor home insurance with them took a major hike when we moved our policy from New York to here. The change for the car was reasonable. It had to do more with the state than the insurance company. In a token to customer loyalty, they sort of grandfathered us (special discounts and credits) for the first year. The next year I reluctantly had to go elsewhere for insurance. Their rates have been coming down. I'll try them again when the policies come due. I would love to go back to them. This year the best rates I could find were with Geico.

they were higher than GEICO, so ended up with them instead.

She doesn't come close to being as annoying as the woman in the Appliance Direct Commercials...

As annoying as she may be, the idea is to get you to remember the girl and relate her to Progressive.
Another example - remember Geico with those caveman commercials ?

I've had progressive for auto insurance since 2004. My car was totaled in 2008 (another driver's fault) and they were excellent with their customer service, quick response, providing a loaner car, etc. Good discounts too.

I have Progressive, but got this insurance through Sandy Manion with The Villages Insurance. It's best to have an 'insurance agent', rather than obtain your insurance on the internet. They will help you with any and all services, connected with your insurance.

I switched to Progressive recently from AARP The Hartford. I wanted to drop AARP and it turned out that Progressive was slightly cheaper. Then they had me plug something into the car to monitor my driving. Since I use my golf cart way more than the car, I got another discount which saves me over $100 per year. The Villages Insurance helped me shop around for quotes.

This was also my experience with Progressive. So far I have no problems with them at all.

About 13 years ago I switched from Allstate to Progressive and they saved me $1,000 for the year. The next year they raised my premium $1,000. I then dropped them.
