My daughter will be visiting with 3 of my grandchildren, and they want to spend a day at Harry Potter Land in Orlando. They have never been there.
Should they purchase "Quick Passes" in addition to their admission tickets?
These must be something that cuts the line time down.
Since they are only spending 1 day there, can anyone give me any advice that might help them? (short of STAY HOME!)
They will be there during the 1st week of April, which will still be Spring Break.
Thanks so much for the help.:22yikes:

The Express Pass is good for most rides (but only once per ride), except the most popular -- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Adventure Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Pteranodon Flyers. Have never seen that any other amusement park. Still worth getting since it is a vacation week, but be prepared for long lines for those three rides.
Unlike Disney, it is pretty easy to do both parks in one day. They're not as large and, with the Express Pass, you can hit the rides relatively quickly. Of course, a lot depends on if you have to ride every ride. I'm a coaster freak and honestly can't be bothered with the slow stuff. The Universal side was geared more to younger children to me and I would totally skip that side the next time I go. Islands of Adventure had the best, fastest rides and, of course, Harry Potter.

Thanks, Red! You have helped us yet again! When you speak of "both parks" I assume you mean Universal and Harry potter?

Couple of hints...get to Harry Potter immediately, as soon as the park opens. We were also given some great advice from some friends...they waited in line forever to get into the wand shop, where the wand chooses you...don't do it, there is a back entrance to the store if you want to purchase a wand or just visit the store...The wand only 'chooses' one person in a huge crowd...not worth the wait! Make sure you have some Butterbeer..it's delicious. The ride is a lot of fun! Enjoy the day!!!

One park is called Islands of Adventure, the other is called Universal. Harry is at Islands. You get into both from City Walk. We had relatives who went last week. They got there at 8:15 AM, got right in park and heading for Harry immediately, still had to wait but nthing like the lines later. Even tho it says the park open at 9 they often open them earlier. They did go back to do thte Harry ride again, had to wait over an hour, but they wanted to go again thtat bad so waited. They were in the park from 8:30 AM to 8 PM, were happy, felt like they saw it all. However it was two 15 year olds, younger kids fade alot faster. They both the food pac for $20., some thought it was a good deal, others not so much, only three palces where the coupons were usable.
