I understand Roberto's is a well known company and does good work. How are they comparatively in their pricing? Are there any other companies that you all feel are equal or superior to Roberto's? Are any of these companies negotiable? For that matter, are any of the after market companies negotiable?

Don't know about negotiable...but have heard great things about FloorMasters on 301. They seem to have alot of business in TV and word has it they do great work. With your question...I think you'll get alot of opinions!

E&G Tile does all kinds of flooring. Several TOTVers have used Eddie and been really happy with his work. He's a sub for Floormasters.

HOW DOES EAST COAST FlOORING COMPARE WITH FLOOR MASTERS? DO THEY HAVE THE SAME EXTENSIVE ASSORTMENT? ARE THEY SIMILARLY PRICED? WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

We used East Coast Flooring to install 1300 feet of laminate in one of our rental homes and their work was simply outstanding. We could not have been more pleased.

We used Masterpiece Flooring to tile our lanai and were very happy with both the price and the quality of the work. We will use them again if we need more flooring done.

I would not use FM what so ever. I have seen their work, that is why we choose East Coast to do our home. Trust me big difference in attitude and price and workman ship. If you go east coast request Daryl to be your installer. He really knows his stuff and the crew was great.

FloorMasters are definitely the best for the price - did all our floors and backsplash in kitchen also. Great job at better prices than the "upscale" storefront stores.

So what is great or awful about Floor Masters? Seems to be a huge discrepancy.

Let me add my 2 cents re: East Coast Flooring. We had them do our home approx. 2 weeks ago and I don't believe any other company is going to be close to them in price, quality and workmanship. As mentioned by a number of previous posters, Daryl and his crew tended to our project.
They did approx. 800 sq. ft. of laminate in 3 rooms. Showed up at 9:30 am and began removing all the furniture in the 3 rooms. Then they tore out the existing carpet and pad and then proceeded to remove the wall base strip for repainting. They installed the 3 rooms of laminate, replaced the base strip (newly painted) and put the furniture back in place including putting pads on the bottoms of all the furniture. They left at 6:30 pm having taken about 3/4 hour for lunch and if I could only explain how incredible our home now looks with this new flooring. We compared prices locally and they were at the low end of the price scale. But the efficiency, workmanship, and total quality of this team would have been worth a lot more in dollars based on how all came out in the end. Could not believe this project could have been completed in only 1 day, but because these fellas are so good at what they do, it happened and I can attest to that.

It appears, maybe I am mistaken, that they are known for laminate. Do they also have tile and wood flooring? Do they stock the same breadth of inventory as floor masters? Where are they located? Darryl sounds like he is "the man".

They do all flooring. We had wood put in.
Called Floor Masters, He gave me a quote, then told me that would change depending on if they needed more product or whatever. Then my neighbor seen him, and come over and told me that East Coast had to come repair the job floormasters had done.
Talked to a few companies,, East Coast best price, much better service and The installer Daryl was so professional. He had so many ideas. He showed us how he would install the floors and not have the transitions any where except where the wood meets the tile or in a closet that we kept the carpet in.

They are located in Belleview
