I am looking at a bushnell tour V2.

Anyone have one? Likes or don't like?

I've used the Bushnell V2 for about two years, and it's really helpful with poorly marked courses, and if you're not in the fairway near markers. Also great for determining distance to hazards ahead. It's very accurate to +/- 1 yard.

My golfing buddy has a sky caddie and that's good too if the course is loaded into it. But, they give you yardages to the middle of the green. Sometimes the pin placements can be quite a bit off with big greens, and the V2 is the real yardage to the flag. The Sky Caddie's screen is sometimes hard to read in certain light conditions and you may need put on your reading glasses to read the small print.

You need a steady hand with the Bushnell or lean against the cart to be accurate. It does have the pin-seeker mode that helps you pick up the flag easier. It's great if you're cutting a corner on a dogleg if you can see the flag. For $60-$90 more you can get the V2 with the slope feature that gives you the angle in degrees up or down and total yardage. Not really needed for flat Florida courses but helps on hilly courses with a lot of elevation changes. It uses one dime size battery ($4-$5), that lasts about about 40-50 rounds. It times out after about 4 seconds that saves on the battery. It's also great for hunting too.

I just bought the Bushnell Hybrid a few weeks ago; love it. The GPS section is great, gives you basic information and come preloaded with over 16K courses and is free (has all of the executive and championship courses in the villages). The rangefinder is the V2 without slope. It is light weight, easy to use with the pin seeker mode and the built in lithium battery has yet to be charged. Just noticed Bushnell is offering a $100 dollar rebate on this unit now. Just another option you may want to consider.

I also have a Skycaddie SG5 that I will be selling, if anyone is interested please let me know.
