My husband and I have found ourselves in the position of having to buy a new mattress. With such a wide range in prices, we need help. I thought i would ask the nice people on TOTV to help me. Please leave a comment on a mattress you have bought that you would highly recommend. Thanks so much!

We have bought from The Original Mattress Factory several years ago and have beed real pleased. We have ordered new ones that will be coming this week, for the quality their price cannot be beat. Their stores are near Orlando but they deliver to The Villages.

My husband and I bought an I-serta bed in November. Pricey but the best bed we've ever slept in. Good luck. We shopped around for about 6 months and finally decided to bite the bullet and spend the money. No regrets. We bought it from Rooms To Go in Ocala. Better pricing then Southern Lifestyle.

Thanks for input. Are there any more ideas? You say a Serta I bed. There are dozens on RTG site. Do you know which I bed?

We bought from them three months ago. The mattress sags. When I called them they dropped off a paper which says to rotate the mattress every two weeks. (They do offer to come and rotate it for you.)

If you ever sleep on a Sleep Number, that will be the last mattress you will ever own! Just my opinion but you asked!

All right, I will say it, the Tempurpedic matress is the best investment I have ever made. It is pricy but you spend 30% of your life there.

Bought an adjustable air bed from Sleep-In-Comfort in LSL (manufacturers are Comfortaire and Leggett and Platt.
Pricey, but best sleep we have had in months. Very competitive with other adjustable bladder beds. Split top king is a nice feature.

We couldn't sleep without our waterbed mattress! It looks just like a regular bed and uses regular sheets. Not like the "old" days of those clunky wooden waterbed frames. We tried the expensive Sterns & Foster mattress years ago. After filing a claim because it was sagging and getting a brand new mattress that did the exact same thing in 6 months, we went back to the waterbed. No regrets!

We had the same experience with Sterns&Foster. Don't overlook a sleep number bed. They are great! We tried tempur pedic but my husband felt like he was sleeping in a hole. I'm a 35 sleep number and he's a 80 sleep number. One mattress makes us both happy!

Bought a Serta Foam Matress at "Matress Firm". Bought king size model"Genius" for 1700.00, and we are very, very happy. This model is a firm matress, that is just sooooo comfortable. Never thought I would buy a foam matress, and now we are glad we did. Its equal to a Temperpudic, except for price. And at Matress Firm, they give you two foam pillows for free!!! Worth the look.:a040:

I agree with Number 6. Tempurpedic is the way to go. I had lower back pain for years and bought a Tempurpedic 4 years ago and my back pain went away instantly. Yes it is expensive. $2800.00 + but a 20 year warranty (first 10 yrs FULL replacement and last 10 yrs prorated) is well worth it. I thought people paying this much for a matress were crazy but I am a believer!

:agree: Relax in Comfort on Canal Street just south of the square. Roberta was great to deal with. We also just went back for one of their Inada massage chairs.

Tempurpedic matress has last a very very long time. Ours is many years old. We are not light weights and the mattress is as good as the day we purchased it. I have not met a person who owns one that says they are sorry they purchased one. Before that we needed a new mattres about every two to four years. So the price is more yes but over time it pays for itself. Oh yes the commericals are true. You don't feel movement from the other person. Unless they take your covers.

Thanks for all the comments. I will take these suggestions with me as I shop this week.
We stayed quite a bit at the Comfort Suites and loved their mattresses. We looked at them and found out they were Jamison mattresses. We love them and they did not run an arm and a leg...our guests have like them as well. We ended up getting them at Whites Furniture.

Have had a sleep number for ten years & can't imagine sleeping on anything else! Hard to find a traditional mattress that two people are both comfortable on.The sleep number took this problem out of the equation for us.Just wished we had not spent so much looking for that perfect mattress before we found sleep number.Myt chiropractor recommended it and I'm sure glad he did!!:agree::BigApplause:
