If you read the whole thing there's a minimum sq. footage, food must be served and the food & alcohol money% comes into play.

Yes, but that is usally the rules anyhow...most resturants meet that requirment...I think they are planning for Brownwood because that will be in Wildwood!! I am hoping that there will be a night spot for us to go to instead of a resturant!

Are you referring to Wildwood or Lake Sumter Landing?

I have seen many negative references about Wildwood in many threads. Not being famliar with the area, I can only assume the area outside of TV is less than desirable... Is this so?

As Brownwood appears to be near Wildwood, what impact do you think there will be on sales?

Do you have any comments opinions on Wildwood?

Thanks

I think your wrong.Wildwood is deffinatly improving and with the addition of Brownwood and additional stores in the area it's only going to get better. Wildwood has just hired 2 officers to patrol the Brownwood area. Last time I was in SS I saw more PD then that.

I foresee an increase in drinking and cops issuing tickets. The homes surrounding these town squares are in for a rude awakening. People can't driver their cars in carts without running into or over around here sober what will it be like they extend the consumption of alcohol until 2:00AM

I remember a Daily Sun article in the not so distant past that a driver was on Canal Street in Lake Sumter Landing waiting for another car to park when the man in the vehicle behind him became angry that he was waiting. The man in the second vehicle left his car brandishing a gun and threatened the man in the first car. As it turned out, it was a fellow villager with the gun, you know, from the Villages where it is so safe. I don't think that you should be so fearful of Wildwood.

On Mondays the Daily Sun offers a column of area arrests. I don't know if it is an edited column but it certainly seems as if there are many arrests which are tagged with Wildwood and Fruitland Park addresses ... both of which border the new area.

Brownwood is located in the city limits of Wildwood. The city council had to vote to hire more police officers since they will be the law enforcement in Brownwood not the Sumter County Sheriff's department.

I think Brownwood is going to be not different than Spanish Springs...there will be young kids out at night running around, young kids out drinking at the bars like at Margurita's, there will be problems like all over ther USA...but it is what it is!!! Just go have a good time and leave at a certain time or when you see trouble start. That is what I do at Spanish springs!:crap2:

I think the Villages will become even more popular with the rest of the world when we have even more diverse entertainment opportunities. How soon before we expand to being a suburb of Orlando?:gc:
