A good detail of a car will cost around 150 to 200 dollars.
I also would like to know a qualified detailer in this area.
Maybe contacting one of the car clubs might give some results.

Thanks for the responses! Once I select a Detailer, I'll try to remember to post my experience. I found one detailer that advertises in The Sun and he'll come to your house and, as a bonus, also wax your golf cart. His price was about $100 for a complete detail which isn't much less than I pay back home. I get my car detailed back home and what I've learned is that anyone can claim to be a detailer, but not all "detailers" are good at what they do.

I was very happy with KK. Had some white over spray on my 2011 Serento from a small job and the whole SUV felt like sand paper. I thought I would be impossible to get the car back to the beautiful dark cherry color again. He clay barred the whole car, and it looks like new again. If you put a micro fiber cloth on the hood it slides right off, it's so smooth.
He came to the house to do the detailing and charged $85.00.
Worked on it for over 3 hours and I gave him a $100. Both of us were happy.

I would hope at this price of 150-200 that you are getting a real job done. Not just someone washing and waxing the car spaying armor all on the trim. For 200.00 you should be getting the interior cleaned, the engine compartment cleaned up, the tires and trim done, and the car stripped washed via 2 bucket wash, clayed and a paint cleaner or fine polish done before waxing. heck for 200.00 it should be hit with a machine polisher with at the least a Fine Machine Polish. That is what I would do.
The average detail for a quick wash and wax and to touch up interior and all trim on outside should be about 75.00 to 80.00. If it is a truck or large vehicle maybe alittle more. For the most part if you are waxing a vehicle it should be clayed prior to applying a polish and wax. Here is the way to see if your vehicle needs clayed. After it is cleaned, put a plastic sandwich baggie on your hand and gently rub the paint. If it is like rubbing sand paper, needs to be clayed and at the least after claying apply a paint cleaning lotion then wax.
Also the most important thing that determines the price of a detail is what you want the car to look like,, I just did one last week, all they wanted was a wash and clean the inside and make it look good, no wax. But the same owner, has a new red camry. It has swirl marks in the paint from the dealer. He wants is completely done,, wants swirl marks out as much as possible, that means using the machine polisher and sometime to hit it. Now your talking money. Not that it uses alot of material, but it is time consuming.
So when you are talking detailing, there is more to it than just picking up a hose and washing the car.
My 2 cent worth..

I too went to Villages Car Wash and it did not cost 150-200 dollars. It was more like 25-30 dollars/ They did a very nice job and if it wasn't quite up to your expectations, you could do the few little spots they may have missed manually. This would save you mega bucks. I am all about that.

This may sound stupid, but what is "claying"?

Try this video. You would not believe what a difference it makes to your vehicle. I advise all jobs I do that this needs to be done, unless it was recently done. After washing the vehicle,, easy to check with the hand or baggie test.

Once it is clayed, need to use a fine finishing polish or paint cleaning lotion before waxing.

Your are right,, less money is better for your wallet,, depends on what the vehicle needs. If you want the car to really shine and really care about the look of the paint, then it will cost to have a correction done to it.
We are trying to get a little detail show up with some of the local car clubs, so the folks can see what it all is about.
A full paint correction could be around 500.00 depending on what needs to be done. If I owned a high dollar car or let alone any car, I would not let it near a machine wash. That is how I do things. I care about my ride. By hand and 2 bucket wash only.

My friend goes to the Market of Marion to get hers done, she is very hapy with it. She walks around, shops while the car is being done!

I use Classic Detail (Mike) and he does decent job both inside and out. Also washes/wax the golf cart. I would recommend him and he comes to the house....very reasonable in price which depends upon the services requested and condition of the car itself. 352-242-0833

KK's Auto Detailing is very fairly priced. A full detail on a 4 door sedan runs around $85 to $90. That is to do everything!!! Acid-wash wheels, wash, dry, clay bar, wax (top of the line products), vacuum and shampoo entire interior, clean everything and then put a uv protectant on interior, clean windows. They can make a car SHINE!!! (352) 429-8991. They offer mobile services and have a shop in Lady Lake across from Advanced Auto.
OH YEAH......KK's does really nice work..
Took in a Black Full Size that looked real sad.
Got back a unit that looks better than new.
I believe you could shave using the paint for a mirror.
Straight East from Morse on CR466.....When you cross over US 441/27
They are 2nd Bldg on the right...(Across from Advance Auto Parts.)
CR 466 is called Lemon St. there........(just EAST of US 441/27.)
They are too young for The Vilages...but his mom is a Villager.
