Obama Believes Women Should Be Admitted to Augusta - ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/obama-believes-women-admitted-augusta-16079667#.T33PQfBSTlA)

He is so blatant and could care less how obvious his intentions are. The only thing missing from the article is a little box at the end stating: I am Barrack Obama and I approve of this message as a candidate for POTUS.

Most women will spot his sexist position in a minute.

He is no more than a leaf flapping in the wind; going in what ever direction, taking what ever position, making what ever statement that will get him a vote....his sole purpose of existence.

Even more than I believed in 2008, this man is the most self serving president of all time. Great lecturer, which is ALL THIS MAN HAS EVER DONE, but he only knows, as you mention BTK, his OWN agenda, his OWN heritage, I will say this....I think he really believes that he is correct on anything he says..to him there is not any other opinion....he is the poster boy for elitism

Why do you feel women should NOT be allowed in the Club? I am just curious.

Golfingnut: In all due respect, not one of the previous posts to yours addressed the issue of women's admissions to the Masters. The OP firmly and clearly stated that Obama again is making specious claims in order to garner votes. Please do not attempt to shift the conversation away from its intent. If you wish not to address it, and apparently from your remarks listed above, you do not ,then utilize the bump option.

"A local issue. The President is pandering to the female vote or is over reaching with his huge Federal Government."

I've since learned that Mitt has taken the same stance. Guess he is pandering to that vote also.

Ever notice how this WH is fond of using the term "WAR ON......" and you can fill in the blanks, from women to poor to whatever.

This is an interesting article relative to this discussion..

"President Obama believes it is “long past the time” for women to be admitted to the traditionally all-male Augusta National Golf Club, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Thursday.

The remarks were viewed by some as a conscious effort by the White House to propagate the meme of a “war on women” being waged by Republicans against the fairer sex.

The president himself, however, has a well-documented history of excluding women, especially on the golf course"

"In a 2011 article titled “The White House Boys’ Club: President Obama Has a Woman Problem,” TIME magazine’s Amy Sullivan detailed the president’s fondness for male-dominated enviroments."

the man was asked a question,he answered it. Simple enough. Not on this board it isn't. If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious. And to Whatever what are you talking about. Those comparisons are childish. Disagreement is fine but please.

P.S. as far as the POTUS goes, he's a schmuck.

I do not understand what the above has to do with ladies joining the masters club, But I have heard loud and clear, that anthing other than:::: I HATE Obama OPINIONS ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. Sorry and I will go away humbly. I don't like him either, but I don't think he is as bad as the posters here make him out to be. I just found out about the political forum, and I hope I can forget it just as fast.

Bravo! That was the precise point the OP was making. What continues to baffle me is how an otherwise intelligent individual can't see through a politicians motives as they are all about as complicated as making ice cubes.

Populist statements are standard fare for these guys because it plays well . Obama's pitch about Augusta was made for the same reason he said Trayvon Martin could have been his son. Many black leaders were outraged about Obama's pandering for the black vote in that manner Because they wanted to see a black president that would further the coming together of the races. so many black people have come a long way in establishing a legimate place in society as doctors, scientist teachers, engineers, etc they don't need the Obama's Sharption's and Jackson's selfish motives to set back the decades long advances.

President Obama doesn't need to pander to women. He is leading Mitt Romney in all the polls by 18% with women, and that number will only grow as more women get to know Romney and his views.

I saw this RED line below in the link in the OP. Maybe it was not intended to be part of the post. Sorry. I'm with the club. White men are the masters, not women. Let them get there own club. Obama, Romney Say Admit Women to Augusta Golf Club

Obama, Romney Agree On One Thing: Women Should Be Allowed In Augusta : The Two-Way : NPR (http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2012/04/05/150083596/obama-romney-agree-on-one-thing-women-should-be-allowed-in-augusta)

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/04/romney-and-obama-agree-augusta-should-admit-women/50794/

This is a current event, why cannot political candidates and the POTUS comment on this issue?? What's the big deal? I do get the big deal with the Masters and allowing women into the clubhouse. There does not seem to be anything much going on here though with both Obama and Romney commentating about it. What's next? Both Obama and Romney do not like the rain stopping the golfers from playing?? The Cubs lost again! DeAndre Brackensick got kicked off AI.

Why are not those in here speaking on behalf of President Obama posting any responses to the foreign policy or the Russia thread ? Just curiousGood question, Bucco.

Both Obama Romney answered the question on the admission of women to membership at Augusta National Golf Club the same way, yet the heavy majority of posters here jumped all over the POTUS, with expressions of outrage and disdain. Yet other threads posted here on serious questions or issues really important to te country draw few responses, and even then some are shallow, trite, mean-spirited or intentionally try to misdirect the dialog.

I hope this pattern doesn't reflect the thought that voters in general will invest in selecting a President and members of Congress to lead and represent them.

He is leading Mitt Romney in all the polls by 18% with women, and that number will only grow as more women get to know Romney and his views.I don't know about whether Romney's favor among women will actually slip much lower than its current dismal level. But it probably explains why Romney responded as he did, drawing no particular response here, an eye-opening difference from the outrage expressed against the POTUS, where many here asserted that his answer to a reporter's question was self-centered, pandering to women, and even calling him a derogatory term.

Hi mr Kahuna.

After only a few days of reading in this forum, you appear to be a very small minority of folks that don't slander either side of the political gangs. Refreashing.

Believe me Golfingnut, you are better off. Don't look back. Enjoy The Villages and all it has to offer. You now have an understanding of how they (6 PAC, 8 PAC, 10 PAC) drive members away. ...been going on unfettered for some time. You can stay if you fall in line with their beliefs. Almost said ... fall in line with their thinking, but that means that they indeed are capable of that activity. Hatred, bigotry, ignorance and following the party-line blindly are the only motivating factors.

I agree the political forum on TOTV is not much fun. I post on there hoping that people other than the usual group of Republican fanatics will actually look at some of my links and hopefully start doing their own research into political matters. Villages Kahuna's posts are a breath of fresh air though.

Obama's pronouncement compared to Romney's was, as usual, when Obama pronounces he gets headline and front and center play by all the media. Romney, like all the rest get a column (maybe) somewhere....maybe a little more if it serves the purpose to aid Obama.

Taltarzac725,

I'm not saying that it will be useless, but pretty close to that. You'd have to line all of them up with a fence-post to see any movement.

I agree with your assessment of VK. If he were to run for a State or Federal Representative seat for the State of Florida I'd vote for him in a heart-beat - that is, if he'd just get rid of the one type of thinking that matches up with his signature line. I'd wholeheartedly support term-limits, but could never support NOT voting for ANY of the incumbents. That would be a solution too simplistic and too radical.

First of all VK, it is frustrating that a thread likes this is hot and heavy with those who support this president, YET they totally disappear when you want to discuss real issues. I suppose they dont care and will vote for him no matter how much he lies and deceives.

Sort of glad you "came out" :) But defending him on this issue, to me, is just conversation to pass the time

If it is not such a big deal why is the subject on Obama's lips right now, again, this morning as he is covered front and center by the media. He is working anything to do with women into an election pandering issue.

That is why it is such a big deal. I don't accept the ideology that if your man speaks about it it is for a good reason.

If anyone questions or does not agree with what Obama or the talking points suggest we get pummeled by the supporters.

As was asked by other posters where are the quick and ready supportive responders when a real issue/question is asked?

Probably agree with you on issues like this, but ask you to step back and at least recognize that most who support this President on this board will only actually discuss things like this and are totally absent except for the occassional one liners on any issue of substance. If you mention Palin, etc you will get posts...but mention foreign affairs, budgets..you know those incidental issues, check it out...NOBODY ever even addresses them

Unless you add something of your own as to why you think the link you post is relevant, I usually won't look at it. I do my own research on topics that spur my interest. You think a link is interesting?.........tell me why.

I would want to know your motivation for the link. Do you support it, or do you not? Do you think the link is spot on analysis, or do you think it's crap?

You just post a link?................I go on to the next comment.
