I'm a Comcast customer very unhappy w Internet service. A CenturyLink rep stopped by today to discuss their service. It sounds better than Comcast.

Anyone had a bad experience w them?

I have prism with Centurylink with 3 HDTV's. I frequently get pixilation and freezing and have to reboot it, they can show you how. The picture and DVR are great except you are restricted to watching/recording only 2 HD stations at once. It's not perfect. We had DISH before, like this better, even with all the little annoyances. The internet is good but occasionally knocks you off, phone good. $140/month for all, HD incl.

We've been happy with CenturyLink for our phone and internet services.

We're very happy with Century Link phone and Internet but not so much with Prism. We'll go back to Comcast soon.

Comcast Internet and customer service was so bad we changed to Brighthouse and have been very happy with both Internet and customer service.

We've had CenturyLink now for about a year...or almost. We like Prism very much. If you have pixilation/freezing call them. It may be your box! We had some issues just once and they came out and helped us. Call the company is my advice.

I did a LOT of research and believe I have found the best to offer - no, none of them are that great for the price - but so far, I'm satisfied. If you're interested, send me a private message (I believe I can save you some money - at least a little - lol)

Will never go back to Centurylink service for any reason. Will use magic jack plus, rather than have to deal with Century Link service, tech support, customer service EVER again.

I hear Bright House is coming to more areas in the Villages, so will check them out
when we can get it. Now have Direct and use cell phones to avoid Centurylink.

I've had Directv since 2008, if you're a sports fan and or a fan of HD viewing then there is no other option. It's expensive, but for example I saw all 16 Ravens games last season with NFL Sunday ticket. Same can be said with any other NFL team or baseball, NHL or NBA if that's your choice, you just have to pay for the services. Otherwise you're stuck watching the Jaguars or Bucs or going to a sports bar and watching with a room full of drunken fans from some other place. Last week I watched the Orioles with MLB package on Directv.

With Hi-Def, when you pay a lot of money for premium channels, with Directv you get 8 HBO channels in HD, 8 Cinemax channels in HD. 10 Showtime channels in HD and 9 Starz channels in HD. Last time I checked, Comcast gave you 1 of each and Prism gave you 2 of each in HD. That's not much when you have to pay $25 for HBO/Cinemax alone.

With Century Link I have internet 10.0 speed, what they call broadband to the curb, and home telephone with unlimited long distance and caller ID, total price $59.99 plus tax which brings it to about $75 a month. I tried to get telephone with no long distance and then they said they would just have to charge more for the internet. When my first bill came in at $200 with a bunch of added charges and I called to complain, they dropped the first bill to $100 and bumped my internet from 1.5 to 10.0 speed.

The day they were changing my internet speed from 1.5 to 10.0 my internet went out for the whole day and I ended up on the phone speaking with a tech for two hours before it came back on. Recently they've called me four times to ask if I would like Prism TV even though each time I stated I have Directv through them and I'm very happy with it. I finally complained the last time about them calling so much, they added 'call block' to my telephone service for free. However the day they added the service my internet went down for the whole day until I was with a tech support on the phone for two hours. I found 'call block' is important because even though I'm on the 'do not call list', we still get tons of unwanted calls. Other than those two occasions, the internet and telephone has been perfect since last July.

Everything is fine with their service until they have to make a change. The tech even told me this was not an isolated incident, it happens all the time when service is somehow changed. For now I'm staying with Century Link but may change to Comcast for phone and internet if I have any problems, Directv I'm never changing from that, too big a sports fan.
