I just want to give a shout-out to Jim Hill, who just cleaned our windows. He did a meticulous job and charged a very reasonable price. He and his helper removed all the screens, cleaned the tracks, and polished the windows on our Begonia model inside and out. They arrived at 7 and were done by 9. Everything looks pristine.

Not only that, they identified several scratches in our sliders (this is a new house) and were able to remove them, obviating the need to call the window contractor back.

I met Jim at the weight-training class (Firm It Up) that I attend at Miona. Another person there mentioned he cleans windows and gave him an excellent recommendation. I'm thrilled that he's so reasonable, I may never have to clean windows again! Now I have a husband who does floors and a friend who does windows... What more could a girl want?

Jim's helper enjoys trimming bushes and weeding. Also a reasonable price, plus he used to be a groundskeeper (at Doral? Don't quote me on that, because my memory... well, you know.)

If you want Jim's and/or his helper Ron's telephone numbers, PM me. I forgot to ask them if they wanted the numbers put online.

Someone PM'd me about Jim Hill, but I am unable to reply to him with Jim's number because whoever Pm'd me has his forum preferences set up so emails to him are not accepted. If you are the one who PM'd me, I'm sorry that I can't reply to you unless you change your preferences to accept private emails. Thanks.

Jim has given me permission to give his numbers online. Jim Hill is at 352.633.1645 or cell 919.272.0958. You'll be happy with his work!

Care to share what the cost was?

We have a Begonia, which is a Gardenia with one less window. Our lanai is not enclosed with windows. The cost was $110. This included inside, outside, tracks $ screens. I think that's very reasonable.

So two men two hours or about $25 an hour?

Very good price. Physical labor is not easy. I will remember his name. Thank you!
