We are coming to visit TV in June to either find a per-owned or a new built home.
it is unlikely than we can visit again before the closing, so can anyone advise us of any problems we may encounter by not being there.

We did that - bought a resale and did the closing my mail. We entrusted the walk through to my husband's brother. That is a consideration. All worked out fine.

We bought through TV own sales department. The sales person was very, very helpful. Originally we were going to do a remote closing. She offered to do the final walk-through for us. I'd think if you find a sales person you can bond with he/she may be able to help you. We really trust our salesperson. If you'd like her contact information, just PM me.
