I'm so impressed with the young man and disappointed because I don't know WHAT HAPPENDED TO THE BIRD. Does he recognize his own kind, does he live outside, will he migrate, inquiring minds need to know.:cryin2:

I recently moved my art studio to the lanai and I feel as though I'm living in a wild kingdom. Yesterday I was attacked by two mocking birds as I tried to return a baby to his nest. I had to chase the baby all over my yard and two neighbors' yards with the mocking birds dive bombing me but he was sucessfully returned home and I had to take a nap. Also there are two ducks with a nest nearby who visit my lanai daily. They can see their reflections in the window so they sit and visit with their reflections for a while, as a thank you they leave me several turds. Interestingly enough the retention pond is a considerable distance away so go figure. A sparrow keeps attacking his reflection in the lanai window and I'm sure he has a bent beak by now but he keeps coming back for more. I'm living in terror that the hawk who cruises the area will take another mourning dove while I sit and watch.:22yikes:
I won't go into the palmetto bugs who keep turning up in my bathrooms. I'm going to put screens in the vents, it's easier than having to go on meds. So much for a peaceful backyard.
