My wife took the airport van to Orlando today and she told me that the driver told her that a 2 story mall will be built on 44 west of Brownwood and the anchor store will be Macy's. If true that would be wonderful. However, that's the first I've heard that rumor so was just wondering whether anyone else has heard the same thing. If so I would assume that someone would have posted this before.

My experience is that constructions workers and van drivers and the guy who stocks the celery at Publix have the real information....AT least they are sure it is factual.

If you hear the same rumor twice, does it make it more likely to be true?

There is supposed to be a large Shopping Center there with undisclosed stores. I was informed it's not a Mall because it won't be enclosed. There is another post on the exact name. I think it's the Atrim or something close to that. Whatever it is it'll be welcomed.

I think I see a Publix in that diagram! The others are most likely Beef O'Brady's, a hair salon, a nail salon, a Dollar Store, Bealls Outlet, maybe a hardware store! Think Southern Trace and Colony. That is my prediction!

It's so funny...google Atrim Dells Florida and see the various answers you get. It does look like they are planning a mall and they are looking for stores to go in, at least that's what seems to be happening...that is, until you read the post that the Villages is putting in another recreation center to be called Atrim Dells  .

I saw that same site too, Trish - and was confused as well until I read through all of the info they had there. Seems they called ALL of the TV shopping areas they cited "recreation centers"!!!

You can get to that from the TV web site: Click on 'Our Location' at the bottom of the page then click 'The Villages Commercial Property' under 'Links and Resources' at the left.

TV also has a Commercial Property Management web site. I don't believe there's a link to it off of the TV main web site:
