HI Villagers,
We have a three year old Club Cart Precedent. The dealer tells us the motor is gone and needs replacement. Of course the Warranty just expired last month!
Has anyone else had a similar problem? The batteries are dead too, supposedly because of the bad motor.

I do not want to take anything away from whoever is looking at the cart, the assessment may be spot on.
But if I was being asked to spend I am guessing $1200 plus (I have no idea how much), I may call the one who cannot be named to see if he would check it out.
I personally know someone who was told they needed a new motor and he resolved for very short money.

The dealer isn't willing to "streach" the warranty? No concessions were offered? I'm sure as heck I wouldn't have the work done there if they weren't willing to work with you. As mentioned above, get another opinion... and if there's a better resolution from that opinion and work, let us know!

You can buy rebuilt motors better than new factory for about $250

I question the fact that the motor made the batteries or the batteries made the motor go bad! the controller sits between them is it also bad ???
