Operation Shoebox

When you are shopping at your local grocery please remember the troops that are out there in harms way. As you walk through the store, please look at the list and add a couple of extra items and drop them in the Operation Shoebox box on your way out. I am sure the troops will appreciate it and it will not hurt your pocketbook.

I presume the Operation Shoebox boxes go to only troops in overseas locations where there are not Post Exchanges nearby? Am I correct?

I looked at the suggested items but didn't see what we have given over the years. We give the wrappers that newspapers come in. We were under the impression that they use these to wrap gifts.
