Hi all:
I was just wondering if there are any other villagers out there that are internet shoppers like I am. I buy most everything on Amazon.com or loads of other websites. I'm not one to drive all over town looking for an obscure item. If Belks or Bealls don't have my size, I order it on line. Just wondering if there's anyone else out there like me? :024:

I'm right with ya.
And when I find a site that has what I want, I then go to fatwallet.com to see if I can get cash back from FatWallet by entering the seller's site through FatWallet.
And before I checkout I go to retailmenot.com to see if there are any checkout codes for the seller's site.
My name is Pooh and I'm an Amazonaholic!.... ;) I buy lots of things online and many, many of the items come from Amazon. Their prices are hard to beat...and with free shipping for so many things, it's nice not to have to cart stuff to the car or cart.

I have a prime membership to Amazon. My sister pays $75 a year for it and is allowed I believe 5 guest e-mails on her account. I get free shipping almost all of the time. She won't let me help her pay for it because she uses it so much for her at home business. Nice perk.
Before I buy anything directly from department store websites, I do an internet search for a free shipping or percentage off coupon code and enter it into the coupon code slot. I don't normally have to pay shipping or I'll get a percentage off that I would have never known about if I hadn't done the search! :024:
I love hearing everyone's tips!!!

You said it! My sister even orders her cat litter on line in 70 lb bags for free shipping! I can't believe she has the UPS man delivering her cat litter!

Amazon is great, hen it's Amazons inventory and their shipping, but the majority of products are not in fact from Amazon, they are from third party merchants who pay Amazon a 15% commission to sell their products.
Many times you can go to that merchants website and get it for less.
Don't ask how I know:024:

Prime membership is an awesome thing to have! My sister also added my son's e-mail to hers and he has twin 11 month old babies and all of his baby food and formula and diapers shipped directly to his door! The largest thing I had shipped for free was our 50 inch TV! We were going to buy it locally and it wouldn't fit in the car. I went on line to Amazon and they had it cheaper and free prime shipping. It came right to our door. Paid a guy to hook up the sound bar, blue-ray player and fine tune the TV for $65.00. Worked out great! :024:

Another Amazonholic here. It costs me less to order it with free shipping than to drive to the big stores and hunt for it.

Just purchased a Dream Number mattress this afternoon on line. It had free shipping and will be coming by Fedex to the door. It beat the price of Sleep number and Relax in Comfort and had a 90 day return policy which included the return shipping if we don't like it. Couldn't beat that. I use Amazon alot too and the various herbal sites for our supplements. Just found overstock.com which has tons of stuff too. Happy Hunting everyone!

Just the other day I needed some new shorts. I did not like the prices at Bealls but I did try a pair on to get the size and then went to Haband on the internet and bought four pair for the price of one at Bealls. They arrived in two days and fit great.

I hate to try on clothes at the store so shopping on line is the best. Use american ex card and have never had a problem

Another Amazonholic with a Prime account here. Been shopping Amazon since it opened in 1994 and access was through a Hayes 14.4k dial-up modem. Back then I ordered printed books,:read: lol. Now I order all kinds of stuff from Amazon and download my books to Kindle. Shop other online stores as well.
Rather than checking all the coupon sites individually, I Google "Coupons: [item I'm looking for]". The search returns the various sites that have a coupon for my item and I choose the best coupon.

QVC Shopper here! (It's a home shopping network). I can remember the very first thing they talked me into buying. It was some kind of ultra red light gadget that was to ease pain when rubbed on the area. The thing never did take away my aches and pains, but that didn't keep me from buying other items from them. Over the years, I've gotten many nice items and their return policy is wonderful.

Too funny Pooh! Amazon is my "go to place" to start my search. I like to read the reviews on the product prior to making my final decision. Then I go and search on the product to find my final lowest price. Yes, I'm also a junkie! LOL

I've been shopping on line for 20 years now! I'm amused by people that are just discovering it. Do you know how much I've saved over the years? thousands and add to that 6 to 7 % sales tax not paid! Welcome to the 'net.
by the way the internet also almost completely does away with check writing and the post office. I get my snail mail (USPO) once a week.
You are exactly right. I agree totally.
Besides amazon and other great online merchants like LLBEAN, etc. nowadays you can also order specialty foods or send gifts from online stores.
We often get gifts from Mrs. Fields, Harry and David in Medford Oregon, various fruit websites, Shari's Berries.......all great websites, easy to navigate if one wanted to send a gift for whatever occasion.........
At Christmas and Easter I always order the holiday specialties from our favorite bakery in NEW YORK CITY which is FERRARA'S. It was there back in the 1890's when my grandmother lived in that neighborhood and the pastries and sweet breads, canoli, etc. are still wonderful and shipped overnight with dry ice. Their Italian Pantone is just like Polish babka which we can't get either up here.....so ordering the pantone does double duty up here.
At least we are all keeping FEDEX and UPS in business...........plus no tax and free shipping on many purchases, depending on which merchant one chooses.
Ah, LLBean, my other addiction...as well as Land's End, Bake Me A Wish, Dale and Thomas Popcorn, Eli's Cheesecake, Appleseeds, Tog Shop, etc, etc, etc.....and of course I have a FEDEX, UPS and USPS account....isn't shopping online great! I've been shopping this way for years.
Today we anxiously await a delivery from the FEDEX guy.... ;) It's like Christmas....lolol.

You know something, when I turn on QVC or HSN, they ALWAYS seem to be showing something that I need! It's really strange....I turned on HSN the other day and they were showing this particular wood cleaner. Interestingly, I had been looking at my kitchen cabinets and realized that they needed cleaning and conditioning. Bought the product, and have been happily cleaning all the cabinet doors as well as wooden furniture in the house. All the wood is shiny, bright and the furniture looks brand new! Same thing with some cookware....we needed some new fry pans, I turned on HSN, there they were....the pans are GREAT! Oh well, they must have implanted a mind reading chip into my brain while I was asleep.... LOLOLOL

Going to the store is an event I enjoy
I really love it, oh boy, oh boy!
Finding the right (shady) parking is an art
then into the the store, I can't wait to start
walking around is good exercise
and seeing the actual merchandise is wise
feel the material, kick the tires and see if it's heavy or light
only then can I make sure what I buy is just right

Hi guys!
Wanted to tell you about my latest internet shopping deal. I was looking for a steel queen size bed frame with center supports for our bed. I looked at a few places for a quality frame and they were from $69 - $99. I looked on Amazon and found one that had great reviews was exactly what I was looking for. I needed it quick. I ordered it Wednesday night. It would have been delivered Saturday but I needed it Friday. Prime shipping would have been free for Sat delivery. I paid $3.99 for Friday delivery. The item cost $49.99, no tax and 3.99 delivery. It arrived at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning by overnight Fed-X! It came from Arizona! It left Arizona at 4PM last evening and arrived here at 10:00 a.m. this morning by a special Fed-X delivery driver. It weighed over 50 lbs! Amazon continues to impress me!:pepper2:
