NOT Republicans saying this about the health care bill AND the President. Something said this stuff actually on this forum and was laughed at...
""I think that the manner in which the issue was dealt with ... cost Obama a lot of credibility as a leader," said Sen. James Webb, D-Va. Webb, who voted for passage and is retiring after one term, added that if Obama had gone for a small, simple measure, he could have won some Republican votes."
"Rep. Brad Miller, D-N.C., who is also retiring, remarked that "[w]e would all have been better off if we had dealt first with the financial system" and said Democrats wasted time and political capital creating problems that dragged the economy down"
"Rep. Dennis Cardoza, D-Calif., who is also retiring, said the bill should have been done in "digestible pieces," and they should have 'figure[d] how they were going to pay for the bill, and then figure[d] out what they could afford."
"Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., of all people, says the Democrats should have stopped after Scott Brown won his election."
"Former Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala., who lost a gubernatorial primary after voting against it, got it right when he said "the Affordable Care Act is the single least popular piece of major domestic legislation in the past 70 years."
Lets see....Obama called it his signature piece..his legacy !!!!

Bucco,
Read the entire article in The Daily Sun today about the healthcare bill and what it will mean for people if it is declared unconstitutional. Rather than have me summarize it here and have some think I have left sections out, please read it yourself. It is a very informative article.

This has been discussed on here......COLGAL will have a problem if it is overturned.
THE ANGER for this should be aimed directly and squarely on Obama. He wasted all that time for we now find out was a political excercise....he lied to us about how and what it was ....he paid blackmail to get it passed...he made deals with drug companies...wasted a bunch of time that should have been used elsewhere...Nobody should be angry at ANYONE other than the President......this was and is a disaster...when you have to pay blackmail (see Louisiana and others) to get your OWN party to vote for it....when the country based on polls didnt want it......
I really feel for those that are impacted by this, and as I said to COLOGAL...I hope the court can find a way to take care of those who trusted this President and hope we all get him out of there because he has more of this in him.

Okay, Bucco, I understand your viewpoints. I just wanted to make sure you had read the fairly comprehensive article in the Daily Sun today.

buggy/bucco - not that the legislature moves quickly or works together...IF the supremes declare obamacare unconstitutional, can they not [if they have not already] prepare legislation that will protect the good parts of the bill...such as covering pre-existing conditions and keeping kids on parents policies? even though the good parts still hafta be paid for, it seems to me that the cost would be cheaper than the implementation of the entire bill! just wonderin'.

It's interesting that at least four of the five democrats Bucco quoted are retiring this year. Are democrats that want to keep their jobs afraid to speak up? It's also interesting that two long term congressmen in PA, blue-dog democrats, who voted against the Affordable Care Act lost their primaries yesterday to progressives.

Did it cut costs anywhere....was it done openly....well, you tell us what you think
I have posted how I feel IN DETAIL.....would think you should do the same thing since all you post is party generalities....for once tell us what you think about something

They lost due to the Unions pushing against them.
The EXACT same Unions that Obama EXEMPTED from Obamacare along with about 1700 other companies/organizations.
Oh yeah.......and Congress doesn't have to be part of Obamacare either.

Sure, Waynet, didn't you know that liberal, commie, pinko, fellow traveler unions go around stuffing ballot boxes because no one has to show a government issued ID? The Black Panthers and union goons are also on duty to scare little old ladies who would normally vote for Republicans.:a20:
