You'll never forget watching these videos. You're coming in for a landing, the deck is pitching 30 feet. One moment you're looking at the deck, and the next you're looking at the back of the ship........and you've got to get on that ship.

These pilots are incredible!!

This link is Part 1, and you'll see a link to Part 2.

I have enough trouble putting it on concrete 100x5000 with no wind. The defense of our way of life depends on these and other ordinary people who make extraordinary sacrifices.

During the Vietnam War I served aboard the USS Coral Sea. I worked on the flight deck re-fueling aircraft and this sure brings back memories....

Had me holding my breath more than once from the safety of my chair! Kudos to all our military pilots past, present and future!:clap2:

Put a dixie cup on the floor up against the wall, stand 14 feet away, and try to toss a dime into the cup. That's what it's like. Your first time is the scariest thing you'll ever do in your life. Wait a minute . . . you 130th time is the scariest.

I was on the USS Midway (CVA-41) during Vietnam (a proud member of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club!) responsible for the port catapult crew. Made 1000's of successful launches during my 2 1/2 years on board. This film brings back a lot of good memories. I am moving to TV in the first quarter of 2013 to the Village of Fernandina. Hope to meet some former naval airdales.
