Moose will be missed. A great player who played in the Shadow of Mickey, Yogi and later on Roger. Not many of the "old guys" left.

Old Timers Day will soon be Younger Timers Day as the great ones leave us.

Richardson, Kubec, Yogi, Hector, Whitey, are about all that is left of the 1961 team.

Isn't it scary when some the the old times are younger than us.

I was so deflated when Moose was traded to the Dodgers - what were they doing ?

How sad....I have fond memories of the crowd at the stadium yelling Moooooose!. If I remember, it was Moose at first, Bobby Richardson at second, Tony Kubek at short, and Clete Boyer at third. Elston Howard catching, Mantle in Center, Maris in Right, and I can't remember who was in left. Of course I remember the Chairman of the Board on the mound.
RIP Moose....you were part of my childhood!!!!

The Yankees used Elston Howard, Johnny Blanchard and Yogi all in Left field. Each of them took turns behind the plate. Between the three they hit over 60 homeruns.
