Does anyone use Sprint cellular network as their cellphone provider?

Yes I have used Sprint for the 5 years I have been here in the Village. Never any problem any where I have been except Cedar Key, and everyone was having problems there. I live up at 466 and go everywhere in the Village without any reception issues.

Thanks. We have Sprint in 2008 when we lived in Sabal Chase and we had all kinds of reception problems. Had to go into the middle of the street so as not to have the calls dropped.:sing:

Their newer services are unlimited so we were thinking about switching back.

We just moved into Tamarind Grove a month ago and have had no problems with our Sprint service.

when Ohioboy had Sprint/Nextel on his workphone all was well - never seemed to have a problem. he retired and we both have Sprint only - bad reception in Sabal Chase, dropped calls, etc.

Complained once and they offered to sell us a booster thingie - I declined. I recently called to inquire about when our contract was up (we had two different dates on our plan), and that's apparently a trigger to ask us if there's a reason for that question - they offered us the booster for free and sent it last week. Comes with instructions but we just haven't felt up to it yet. Apparently goes thru our internet service somehow.

We've just been really busy - I need to do this some morning when I feel smart and not tired. Will let you know how it works out.

Thanks for all the info. Sprint is the only national provider that offers unlimited everything, but if it doesn't work in the Villages what good is it.:Screen_of_Death:

I have had Sprint for several years - not in TV full-time, but no real problems when there. I have the all everything plan - seemed to work fine. Exceptions are inside stores in Lake Sumter. Didn't think anything about that though, have those issues in KY as well.

We have lived in Sabal Chase since 2006 and have always had Sprint. I do not have problems with calls dropping or any interference. The only problem that I have had is that I cannot make or get a call when I am in Sam's Club.
My neighbor has Verizon and has to go on her lanai to make a call. Perhaps it is the actual phone rather than the carrier.

I think you may be on to something when you say it could be the phone. Had a friend with AT&T and he had to change phones.

Thanks for the feedback about Sprint. I switched to Sprint in April for their unlimited data plan, and I was wondering what reception in TV is like as I will be renting in TV next month. I bought a pretty expensive (at least by my standards) Samsung phone, so hopefully all will be well.

We lived in Sabal Chase, the Hampton Villa, in 2007 & 2008. We had Sprint as did the contractors rebuilding our villa after the tornato, and we all had to go into the middle of Summerton Street to have recepetion to talk and receive phone calls. We all also at the time have the top of the line Mortorola phone.:0000000000luvmyhors
