I just looked at the Preliminary plans and see a couple more Championship courses and some execs. around Brownwood. Are any others being built right now. We was there in early March and played Bonifay. Didn't see anything else yet. Looks like lots more Villages to be developed. Do they build the golf course first,,,,then start selling lots? thanks

Hedo ... Where are the next 2 execs being built? I had thought the Sarasota location was next but hadn't seen any activity there.
It's been 2 years since Tarpon Boil, the latest exec, opened and tee times were tight this past winter.

They do build the golf courses first...then build the homes! They put in the rec centers and mailboxes/pools, I believe, along with the golf courses first.

I believe the next execs are being built on the west side toward the county building. The ones at Sarasota should be going in later.

The third nine hole course of Bonifay opens in June. It is named Pensicola. Following that will be Evans Prarie Country Club with two nines named Osprey and Kildeer. The next executive course to open is Palmetto, located close to Buena Vista.
So much golf to be played....

So how many days can you play without playing the same course twice? Don't you hate story problems.

This link is to a PDF document where you'll be able to get an idea of the golf course layouts proposed south of 466a. Best to adjust to 66.6% or closer to get a good look. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but you might find it interesting:

Thanks to all your responses. I wasn't aware of all the other courses. I did look at the map of Prelim. plans. Thats why i asked the question. Initially I thought.....why would anyone want to be so far south in Brownwood. BUT, what a great area!!! From my experience in TV, all town squares are GREAT. I am mostly concerned about getting to the 27 hole courses. I still play 3 to 4 days a week here. (summer). We rented in March(2013) again and will be looking for a place soon I HOPE..
