View Full Version : Most Popular Pizzas Around The Villages

With more than 80 posts about what pizza is "best" in another thread, I've come to the conclusion that there is not such thing as "the best pizza" because that is pretty much subjective in nature. I feel it would be better to try and get a feeling of what pizza in and around The Villages (only) is most popular. Now as in any poll, the results are subject to a +/- factor, but it is also limited to having only 10 choices in the poll list. Anyway, I've prepared the list as best I can and mostly based on places mentioned in the poll I mentioned above. I wish I could have listed more, but I couldn't. C'est la Vie! Anyway, have fun with it!

Unfortunately, there is no list or no poll. Am I missing something?

Unfortunately, there is no list or no poll. Am I missing something? Can't say??? I'm getting the choices so someone else would need to state if they're having the same problem. I you or anyone else is having a problem. There is no way for me to fix any problem if there is any!

Papa John's must be good. I ate the last slice for breakfast. I usually like a thin crust, but I did enjoy the regular one from Papa John's. I am also a fan of Cane's thin crust lobster pizza.

It's very, very good. We like the thin crust option and the sauce is tasty without reeking of garlic. I'll be enjoying one of their pies for dinner tonight! So, because this is our favorite pizza, hands down, I can't vote in the survey. I wish Mallory Hill was a choice. I can't lump it together with the other country club pizzas because it is just that much better.

Breakfast pizza. One of the best. Do you leave it it the box overnight or do you wrap it in something else? I find that the best overnight pizza is best if left in the box - in the icebox of course.

Our favorite pizza is from Belleview Pizza.
If we don't want to drive to Belleview, we order pizza-to-go from Mallory (almost as good).

If I had a greater number of choices that could be given, I would have entered them separately, but there would have just been too many to be fair. As it is there are more choices I could have put in, but couldn't and that even includes one of my favorites too, Papa Johns.
BTW, when I concatenated the CC's I really didn't mean to give the impression that making that selection would mean the voter necessarily liked all CC's, but that they at least liked one or more of them best. Unfortunately, the best alternative I felt I had available would have been to exclude the CC's all together, but I didn't want to do that for the reason I gave above.

You did a great job, skyguy, putting this poll together! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to rave about our favorite pizza, whether it is on your list or not! I totally understand the issue with not being able to list all of the country club restaurants separately. :BigApplause:

The best pizza in The Villages will open their doors on June 1st.
Flippers Pizza in their new location in Spanish Springs across from McCalls Tavern will quickly become a favorite. I'm so glad they decided to open a restaurant here. The other locations in Orlando and Clermont are great, but too far to drive, just for a pizza.

I ALWAYS agree with Bill/Brillo!!!!!! For delivery, we prefer papa johns - they have a great online ordering system, in addition to very very good pizza.

Papa Johns should also be added to the list. With a max of 10 entries, not every place that should be can be. Please see my previous comment above!

441 Pizzeria (where the old goodfellas pizzeria was in belleview) is definately the best. Like being back up north. Newly opened, decorated and owned by northerns who know what real pizza is.

How do you get 64 votes with only 27 posters?

How do you get 64 votes with only 27 posters? This was setup as a "favorite" and not a "what's best" as some people have obviously failed to pick up on judging by their posts. I did it this way because I didn't think it was quite right for "me" to tell others what's best as it kind of come across as I'm right, any other pizza's are no good and that everyone else's opinion is wrong. I'm sure most others didn't view or intend it that way, but I suspect that a few might have.
Anyway, with that intended I had decided to set it up where someone who has more than one favorite could select more than one choice. You'll find that this was specified as a "Multiple Choice Poll' within the voting selection area.
BTW, zcaveman, I just want to acknowledge that you are absolutely correct in your response!
