They are beautiful. I truly miss having cats, and our dog loves cats. If we didn't have a bird, we'd have a house full of cats and one dog. I hope these sweeties find a home. Keep it going till they do.

I have posted this on our women's club website and emailed the pictures to one of the members with the phone number. Do you know the age of the kitties and are they declawed? That was a question I was asked. They are absolutely beautiful!

If someone is concerned about declawing they can ask the owner about the cats' behavior at the present time. Declawing isn't necessary. My cats were never declawed and did not scratch furniture. They are beautiful cats and hopefully they will stay together.

I would not declaw a cat - mine have been well behaved. They have their things they can claw and they know the difference. I guess some people prefer to adopt declawed cats. I would hope that these two will be adopted together - it would be a shame to separate them.

They look like they would make nice pets for anyone! Sorry to hear the owner has to give them up....must be heartbreaking for her. Quite a bargain too...most likely caught up on their shots too.

Please consider keeping their full toes. People don't always understand that declawing a cat is actually removing the last digit of their toe, not removing just a nail. Not only is it painful, often the cat develops behavorial problems from declawing. Using the litter box, is often painful, as they use the tips of their severed toes to cover their waste. Just consider furniture fabric that is non looped, which if they can't hook it, they leave it alone. Add lots of scratching areas for them, and encourage them to use them with nip or reward treats. Most of the time, these procedures keep you and your pet happy, and the cat can be a cat....do what cats do...hunt, scratch, and act goofy!

Here's a cat joke for visiting-- A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods! A cat thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... I must be a God!

The Humane Shelters are overrun with cats. People get them when they're cute kittens and then discard them. So sad. :ohdear:
This owner is doing the responsible thing by trying to find homes for her cats. I hope someone adopts these lovely pets.

I LOVE the fact that so many retirees in Florida adopt older animals. From chatting with pet owners at our Dog Park, I've found out that the majority of pets there are rescues from Shelters.

I spoke to the woman who owns the 2 cats. She has not had any calls inquiring about the cats. She loves them but is in a tough financial situation. Currently, I am in NJ and I am mailing her a check for food and litter. If anyone in TV could donate food or litter she would be appreciative. Her phone number is in the OP. People who are not in TV who would like to send a gift card to Pet Smart or a check PM me and I will send you her address.

We use to care for some ferrel kitties in our neighborhood. Occasionally we would contact the food companies directly; Hills, Purina, etc... they would send us FREE coupons for dry and sometimes wet food. Please don't forget that there are many resources out there allowing ones to keep their pets with them. Also, most SPCA's will offer reduced rates and sometimes FREE vet checks as well. Please don't give up!
