Wanting a Pool

I have a small house with a small yard and am trying to find out if I can get a pool installed. I've heard about spools but am not sure about them. I want one just big enough for walking. Has anyone out there been in this situation and have a suggestion?

Call T&D to have them come out and give you some ideas. I have seen them do some amazing designs in small spaces. They know the Villages restrictions on setbacks better than anybody. You may have to wait awhile before they even come talk to you... They can get pretty backed up on estimates.

There may be other pool builders with similar capability. Let them come tell you what they can do to meet your needs.

We have plenty of room for a pool and gave the idea considerable thought. Put it off until next year and started going to the neighborhood pool. We found the Adult Pool (just a short cart ride away) to be really enjoyable. We changed our mind and saved a whole bunch of money now and in the future. Just a thought.

To anyone that wants to put in a pool check to see where the electric line runs in your back yard. I had one put in 3 years ago and it cost me 300.00 extra to have the line moved. Just a FYI. Don't be shocked the first quote was 1500.00

If you want it for walking have you considered a swimspa? We put in an above ground Michael Phelps swimspa Momentum. 19 ft long, 4 ft deep, comes with some excercise bars, fabulous jets, and a hot tub at the end. I got it especially because I have arthritis and water aerobics are recommended. You can add on lights, stereo, waterfall lights, this and that...just another option. Did requrie an extra electrical box which we had installed.

We have a pool that is 8 ft x 16 ft. It goes from 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 ft deep. Perfect size for us. T & D put it in in 2004. We love it.

GeorgeI just ran into this post that I somehow missed the other day and wanted to say thank you for your comments. We made an appointment earlier this week for Monday next week with a rep from T&D to come to our house and discuss the possibilities of a pool and BC. We're hoping that we'll be able to afford a pool + without having to hang a sign on our front door stating "The Poor House!" :$:

First thing you need to do is check if you have electrical lines under property. We put pool in and I'll tell you its the BEST thing we ever did!! We absolutely love it and use it Every day!! Good luck

All Seasons Pools built ours...............Fast, and absolutely the BEST service. We did check with T&D but was told they are 6-8 weeks behind! We are enjoying ours immensley with this early heat.
