Keeping track of all the hollywoods that are for obama and not watching or buying anything of theirs. They really can lose by endorsing one candidate or another. Would think they would remain neutral.

i don't think anyone would change their vote based on any celebrity's endorsement....at least i would hope not! i know george clooney just got off my movie list! and many others, too.

Cannot really say I care one way or another which candidate some celebrity endorses. Some of the fans would care though depending on what celebrity it is.

The Villages movie theater did take a real beating on not showing The Hunger Games but probably made up with the take on The Avengers.

Celebrity endorsements don't change my mind about candidates one way or another. It does make me think that some celebrities that I thought smarter than they are are idiots, but that's another story and doesn't affect my entertainment dollar much.

When they go overboard and become crazed freaks, like Alec Baldwin for example, there's no way I would support any project he's affiliated with, with my entertainment dollar.

So "Rock of Ages", for example is "dead on arrival", for me. I have never once watched a single minute of his TV show either.

celebrity endorsements are useless in my book! i recall barbra streisand, alec baldwin and a bunch of others claimed they would leave the country if/when george w was elected - they didn't - they stayed - they lied.

Hollywood Actors I avoid spending any dollar to see. At some point they saw it better to insult me as a person or have associated with those who hate this country.

Alex Baldwin,
Julia Roberts (" Republican is in the dictionary between reptile and repulsive")
Sean Penn (Hugo Chavez hugging, US Hating Socialist/Marxist)

add George clooney to that list but subtract Gary Sinse as he is one of the good guys

Or Ted Nugent? :boom:

Don't know how much of my entertainment dollar went to Ted Nugent, but his early band, The Amboy Dukes, was a favorite of mine; although I don't think I want to take a "journey to the center of your (the) mind" :)

Damn Yankees was also a great band, but I don't remember ever buying an album of theirs.

Ted Nugent is a 100% American boy, born and raised, with an avowed great love of America's traditional freedoms.

What's not to like? :)

I'd give Penn a little slack. He was in boats helping people in New Orleans while FEMA was still saying they couldn't get in just after Katrina struck.

Doesn't outweigh his support for radical communist dictators of the world.

I think that people who would decide on who they will vote for based on some actors opinion deserve what they get and further more says to me that they have no mind of there own.

My only points on this thread are the actors who I don't like and won't support because of their public outbursts on political topics.

Their candidate "endorsements" one way or the other have little meaning.

I cannot see any reason to give a celebrity endorsement any consideration, nor do I base my list of artists I enjoy based on their political views. I enjoy Barbara Streisand's music but I do not agree with her political views.

celebrity endorsements have less meaning than politicians endorsements which account for almost nothing.

For celebrities it is NOTHING more than a social list ticket punch to align their what evers with the rest of the who evers in Hollywood.

All Betty White and those like her generate is a polite chuckle!!
