How wonderful Kathy amd her husband have arrived and are now living at The Villages! They worked hard at making decisions on how to build their home and now they have moved in. I feel like I was a part of the process and I know many others do too! I hope they have a long, happy, healthy and joyful life in their new home. I am looking forward to meeting them and seeing the masterpiece they created!

May you always be Happinow!Oh, don't be too sure about that! Once settled in she might want to change that name to Reallyhappinow or Muchohappinow! :p

Loved reading her updates and felt like I was taking each step with her. It's the next best thing to doing it yourself and since that won't be for quite awhile in my case, I applaud her for including us! Good luck in your new home, Kathy!!

Another welcome to Happinow. I hope you are settling in well. I live vicariously through all the posts about people moving in, picking out their options, decorating, etc. You all give me hope that someday it will be my turn!

Thank you all for your kind words. It has been a long journey and I have to admit we are tirednow! Our home is coming together nicely but will be a few months before it really takes shape as our furniture will take that long to arrive. Believe it or not, today is the first day we weren't inundated with contractors. It felt good. We accomplished a lot inside the house....washer /dryer hooked up (hooray!!!), tv mounted in the bedroom and lanai, and we ate our first meal here. It sounds trivial but seemed like the beginning of the "settling" in phase. Oh, and our cart arrived! We did take it for a spin and I'm addicted. It was really fun. I will post pictures when the furniture comes and get things together a bit more.

Thank you all for your support during this life changing event. I don't think anyone really gets what it's like to live here until you are here. It is really amazing. To all of you that live here, I'm jealous that you have been having so much fun without me. And for all of you wannabes.....it's worth the time, effort, blood, sweat and tears you will put into it.

If anyone is tootling around in the Sanibel area, please stop by and introduce yourselves. Just PM me and I will give you the address. Thanks again and God bless.

It is terrific to hear how happy you are. You are an inspiration to those of us who haven't been able to get to that step. We will share a beverage when the opportunity arises. :beer3:

When you said that you had your first meal in your home, that to me said it all. It's yours, your in and you broke bread together.

Beautiful!

Do you still have to pinch yourself to make sure you are not dreaming? I am happi for you that you are finally in the settling-in phase of your journey. Soon the contractors will be gone and you can take a BIG sigh of relief!!

I will look forward to seeing pics of your beautiful home. From the way you have described it in the past, I know it is going to be so beautiful!

I, along with many wannabe's have enjoyed following your journet. It is amazing, inspirational, and very helpful. I have taken a lot of good information from you, and others as they go from wannabe's to frogs. The enthusiasm is infectious, and makes me want to join everyone more and more each day.

All the best to you, and your husband as you settle in. Truly a dream come true!

We're new here. We don't understand some stuff. Are we all supposed to welcome everyone here? Do we tell everyone about all the stuff we have done and the cost? Who is this hapinow person? Well, we welcome EVERYONE. Welcome!

Happinow has been a good friend of Talk of the Villages and we lived her journey of choosing a lot, home and how to decorate through Talk of the Villages. We welcome everyone who let's us know they have arrived. There are no rules, it is just the love of loving The Villages and being thrilled for those who come to live here. You do not need to ask any questions if you do not but the advice pool is huge, the experience very valuable, and it helps you avoid a lot of mistakes by hearing what others have gone through. We welcome you too!

We have discussed it and we would like to go on this journey thing, too. Do we have to tell you what we paid for everything and stuff like that?

I think you should read postings and when you are comfortable with what you want to ask and what you want to share, then move forward so you have comfort in your discussions and your level of privacy for your journey.
