Re-writing presidential biographies to give yourself a pat on the back? This is a new low for any president.

This is like arguing about President Obama and the First Lasy changing the drapes in the Oval Office. They are the current tenants of the White House. If the Republicans have problems with how the Obama's decorate things that belong to the White House, then win the Presidency in 2012 for Mitt Romney.
The President merely looks like he is educating students and others about how the past is connected to the present.
Herbert Hoover | The White House (http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/herberthoover)
The Obama administration added this to Herbert Hoover's web page:
"Did you know?
•President Herbert Hoover signed the bill founding the Department of Veterans Affairs July 21, 1930. President Obama is committed to making sure that the VA, the second-largest cabinet department, serves the needs of all veterans and provides a seamless transition from active duty to civilian life, and has directed his Administration to modernize the way health care is delivered and benefits are administered for our nation's veterans. First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden launched Joining Forces to mobilize all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned." from above Herbert Hoover page at White House official website.

The present occupant of the "people's house" is just hoping some actual statesman-like stature will somehow rub off on him by "attaching" himself to Presidents of the past.
Here's hoping that he joins them as a historical footnote very soon.

I always defended this man on a personal level but cant do that any more.
Change the drapes, the furniture but to add to folks bios to serve your own purpose is more than a bit arrogant !
This morning on Morning Joe, it was pointed out the DEMOCRATS are complaining privately that the President does not even talk to them.
This is a man who has had 3 straight budgets go down 99-0 and he cant take the time to even speak to his own party. He is a man who is NOT a leader in any sense and is interested only in what benefits his own agenda

Nothing more than another indicator of desperation.
Teaching kids? Very, VERY unlikely. Each and every move, word, gesture is about Obama's political standing and NOTHING more.
It really does show the total and complete disregard Obama and his so called team have about any subject including the use, again, of children in delivering the message.
Desperate and uncaring.

Kind of reminiscent of totalitarian dictators who insert themselves gloriously into the history of their country.

Obama must be very smart to be the first one to think of this. He must be learning from us GOP types.

Why do you say stuff like that? Where is even one instance of a Republican President doing this?
You spend a great deal of time in bashing Republicans and propping up Democrats for "us GOP types"
(except for your "Romney thing"; that's the only time you veer off the progressive path, in my observation)

"Inserted into the official bio of the late President Ronald Reagan was this lie: "In a June 28, 1985, speech, Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multimillionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule."
As Reagan's son Michael told Fox News' Megyn Kelly recently, "Ronald Reagan was talking about lowering the effective tax rate on every working American. At the same time he was talking about closing the loopholes for all those tax deductions. That's what he was talking about. He wasn't talking about raising taxes on the wealthy. He was talking about lowering everybody's taxes. And for Barack Obama to once again just take this out of context, and try to play the Ronald Reagan card, to try to get people to support his positions, is just a bold-faced lie."

As George Will has said....
""Barack Obama's intellectual sociopathy -- his often breezy and sometimes loutish indifference to truth -- should no longer startle."
