Full page ad in The Sun today for Clear Cast.

Has anyone tried it?

FYI--Clear Cast is an antenna that captures free over-the-air digital and HDTV broadcasts. I would think since TV is on the broadcast fringe-area of Orlando that reception would be less than optimal. It would be nice to try if you could find a way with a money back guarantee.

Don't end up being one of P.T. Barnums Minute Men. It's snake oil.

My gut said, "It sounds too good to be true!"

So, No.

It is essentially the same thing as rabbit ears. An indoor antenna for picking up tv. Unfortunately, there arent many local stations near us.

another full page ad in the sun today 8/27/13. Be careful before buying. Go online to see all notices about how the ad is misleading. Closest tv transmitters to the villages is east of orlando. We will not get good reception here. If you buy the item and return it, you will not get your shipping fee ($9.99) returned. It seems they make their money on shipping fees ! :)

I've tried a few indoor models with little to no success. Even the highly rated ones by consumer reports! I get a few (2/3) channels and that is at late night or early morning only. Save your money for the next "new invention".

:agree:

Take a look at this. Just put in your zip code and see what your likely reception is. It is not great.

Yep, that's about it.
I use an amplified indoor antenna and receive 5-9 channels depending on time of day and maybe weather between here and Orlando. Seems better in the evening. The picture is beautiful on the ones I get. I only want the local news broadcast, some football games & a few shows, mostly on MeTV & RTV. It's not perfect but it works for me. I can watch other stuff on NetFlix or Amazon Prime.

Yet another ad today (9/17/13). Someone must have tried it by now. Amplified directional antennas but be able to pick up digital signals much better than the old analog ones.
