Bird Cage in Marion County

If you put a bird cage on a courtyard village - and your outside electric unit is in the birdcage - do you know if you have to install another unit outside the birdcage?

By electrical unit do you mean your electric meter? If it is the meter I think it would have to be moved so that the meter checker would have free access to it so he can read it monthly.

It is an electrical outlet. We received an explanation why this was needed 7 years ago when we added our birdcage, but can't remember it now. It seemed a bit lame to me, but we could not get the permit finaled without the outlet being installed since it is code. Needless to say, we have never used this outlet.
