TOTV New Look--When?

Earlier this week the TOTV Admin sent a PM announcing a new look coming to TOTV. Does anyone have any additional info on the release schedule? Is there already an option on TOTV to select the new look, which I may have overlooked? There was a new and improved look for a few hours last week and it was impressive. This was not the font color change that had everyone grousing in April.

If you didn't receive the email from admin you might want to check your settings options and make sure the messaging and notifications options are set to enable the email from admin, etc.

We believe the email may have timed out and some users did not receive it. We will resend the notice to everyone. There has not been a date set on the new release, still working out a few details and hope to have out in the next week or so.

I did notice yesterday, that the home page was too large to fit on my screen, I had to scroll over to read everything on the page. Today is OK

Hello Villagers and Villager ‘wanna be’s’!

- The most popular Village Maps are now available in both a link and downloadable PDF!
- Movie times at both squares are available at the click of a mouse!
- Our Village Directory will list many of the site sponsors and their products and services. Please support our site sponsors when possible.
- Do you have something to sell? Our Classified Section has become the most popular way to sell your items for FREE! Please include a photo, as the response is significantly greater with a photo. Your items will sell faster with a picture!
- We have an updated and permanent location for the rules of the site under the ‘Site Guidelines’. These are subject to periodic updates.
- CLUBs! Are you a part of a club in The Villages? You can list it in our directory for FREE! Just click the ‘Clubs’ drop down and ‘Register’.
- Visit our Frequently ask Questions section under the heading of ‘How to use this site’ for more tips and tricks on using the forum!

Hopefully the changes will make it easier to navigate on an iPad or other touch screen device. I have a hard time moving back and forth in a multipage thread because the page numbers and arrows are too tiny for my big fat fingers. Could this be a future improvement?

Thank you for posting the Admin's message about the new look to TOTV as I also did not receive the Admin's message. I will have to check out the new features. 100,000 visits per month to TOTV -- holy moly or boy howdy as Graciegirl would say.

You have to wonder why the Admin opted for a PM rather than a simple announcement that everyone would have seen at the same time? Unless Admin expected the system to generate an email to everyone to retrieve their PM, even folks not currently active on TOTV.

My guess is the folks here are updating the vBulletin® Version 3.8.4 to vBulletin® Version 4.2.0

That will be welcome change software wise with many features.
