John McCain Stands By Sarah Palin Pick (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/24/john-mccain-sarah-palin-mitt-romney_n_1542204.html)
She probably did get him more votes than he would have had with some more boring pick. Obama was almost unbeatable in 2008. Unfortunately, it looks like Mitt Romney could become POTUS in 2013. It will probably come down to who has the best speechwriters, debate zingers and ads.

Not sure of the relevance of yet another Sarah Palin thread
We are to be quiet on the pastor of the President (it has been years we here) but this woman seems to be fair game any day of any year !
PS...I apologize if there is something in the thread that is relative to current time...I didnt read it...had my fill of the Palin threads on here....they all end up the same way this one will...gives all those folks a chance to exude a bit more hate

That's true, barefoot.
And, my post and thread is complementary to Sarah Palin.

I'm not a Palin fan as far as politics go, but she certainly has tons of charisma, energy, self-confidence and a sense of humor. She photographs well and loves the camera. We haven't heard the last of her, but I hope we never have a "President Palin".

By we, do you mean the USA or Canada?

Believe that Barefoot and Fireboy are here for almost 6 months a year. So, even though they are Canadians, whoever is POTUS would affect them.
Doubt if Sarah Palin will take another shot at national politics. She seems to be making too much money and having fun being a celebrity.

....It will probably come down to who has the best speechwriters, debate zingers and ads....We saw in the GOP primary the effect that the super PAC's could have. I'd almost go so far as to say whichever candidate has the super PAC's with the deepest pockets will have an advantage. It had better be that because if Romney is going to rely on "outspeeching" Obama, beating him in debates or coming up with memorable zingers, he could be in trouble.

I am sure that her resume of accomplishments, not to mention her financial statement quake in your presence.
I mentioned to the thread starter that this kind of stuff was not to be avoided...just had to wait until the right posters arrived.

There are those that think if they bash their betters, they look bigger in comparison. It's almost always the opposite.

Since we own a house in TV and live in the USA for six months a year, I'm very interested in the US economy. By we, I meant the USA, which is our second home.

He needs a stronger running mate than MS. Palin.

I think the American public, especially those who bought Obama's rhetoric as a candidate as well as his stage show speeches since he has been elected, will not be so easily bought the second time around.
I do not particularly find him to be a good speaker. He continually displays not knowing his subject, hence the almost 100% of the time being scripted and use of a teleprompter.
When he does get caught in one he should not have said or meant we are all used to the"WH" gang or his supportive main stream media telling us the next day what he meant or did not mean the night before..
I think he is especially demeaning when he rolls up his sleeves and takes off his tie and tries to act like one of the folks.
He is just too disingenuous time and time again.
More and more people, especially the voters (I hope) have him figured out by now.
I believe Romney can out talk him on very many subjects and on very many levels.
As for debates, when all gets said and done they will both be rehearsed theatrical productions. The debates are for the uninformed on an entertainment level only.

Of course John McCain is going to defend his Sarah Palin VP pick. He's not going to say I made a horrible decision that probably cost me the election.
