What do other Villagers do when they are forced to give up driving? How does one go about finding insured good drivers for hire?

I see plenty who will drive to the airport but I'm thinking more along the lines of 2-3x/week to run errands. Obviously, I'd want a safe driver with good insurance and no traffic violations. I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts on this topic.

A friend of mine will soon be in this situation so I'm just doing a bit of advance thinking.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.I've used this service for restaurant pickups numerous times but not for companion services. I can't say if it fits what you're looking for, but I think it's worth a look-see!

MJB, here's the link for the Sumter County Transit. You can get the stops and schedule here. It's possible the friend can even get them to pick her up at her door. They make stops at the local stores or she can even go to Leesburg very reasonably. You gals may even venture out to try it some day.
