Just wanted to take a time out and say a big Thank You to all of our veterans who so selflessly give of themselves so we can all enjoy this wonderful lifestyle. And also a round of thanks to their families who shared them with us! We are truly a wonderful nation and I am grateful to all those who keep me safe. God Bless! :clap2:

Have a wonderful and meaningful holiday everyone!

I agree and could have not said it better. BTW, I just read an email with photos of illegals urinating, walking on, writing on, and burning the American flag in Arizona. Law enforcement officers stood near and arrested whoever threatened to stop them. Please veterans, know that the huge majority of true Americans support your contributions to our society. You helped protect the free speech that these idiots enjoy. While extreme, free speech is a necessary component of our freedoms. You did your duty to protect the free way of life me and mine enjoy today. I will forever respect and honor you.

(Note: this is from an email someone sent me. It includes some great pictures that I can't figure out how to post also, but will keep trying). Got 3 of them, now to get them in the correct order. The site won't let me load more than 3. Shall I put others in a separate post? I don't want to overload the system if no one is interested.

MEMORIAL DAY

It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

It is
the
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,

ETERNAL
REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON
THEM.

For all us vets, it is nice to get positive strokes rather than what we got in the early and mid-70s. But I am glad not to have paid the price of admission for membership in this holiday's role call which is death during military service. My condolences to those who lost family and/or friends during a combat operation. We are all so grateful for the service of your loved ones.

As a veteran I thank you all but please remember that this is not Veterans' Day. This day is set aside to honor and remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. To me it's a day for solemn remembrance.
To those who gave everything, I give my heartfelt thanks. For the families and loved ones of those who never made it home, I thank you as well. Your sacrifices are beyond anything I can comprehend. I wish you peace.

As a retired vet I thank you for the comments. Tomorrow please pause for a moment to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting the freedoms we enjoy.

I often think of friends I served with who didn't make it back, family members I never met and the families of the fallen. Remember Freedom is not Free it has been paid for the by the blood of those willing to serve our country.

I posted a thank you to all veterans and it seems it is not on this website??
I don't know how or WHY anyone would remove a Thank you to a veteran. I have a right to say thank you in the way that is appropriate to me. Especially after living with a man who served not ONLY in the Marines, but 30 plus years in the Army!!! Thank you all veterans for the sacrifices you have made!! It's because of you we can live a FREE life!! My prayers go out to each and everyone of you and your families!! God Bless you all !!!
