I know several different people who are deaf and are interested in moving to TV. Is there an active, social deaf community in TV?

Yes, there are various monthly gatherings, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Social Times, Fun Fun Fun Nite, Ladies Luncheon, Men Breakfast, and Tri-County Association of the Deaf. If interested, please email your email address via private message and it will be added to the email distribution list. Thanks.

I don't know how many who live here that are deaf but there is a person who lives here and posts on TOTV and who, If I remember correctly, in his former life had a paid job as an advocate of the deaf nationally in Washington D.C.

I believe his screen name is Deaf Deaf. You can send him a P.M. He will know.

What a coincidence that you and Deaf Deaf posted at nearly the same time (within one minute of each other) and he had the answers seconds before your post! Ya gotta luv this place!
