If you have a Verizon Wireless contract and have upgraded your phone, please consider donating your old 'plain vanilla' phone to help people just starting out. All it has to do is be able to make and receive calls. Call 352-566-6163 and leave a message. Many thanks!

And I never got my first cell phone until I was 50. And even then it was a work only capability.

So now it seems it's a god given right. Sorry, but people "just starting out" don't need cell phones until many other basic needs are fulfilled. Or is this so they can text while driving. I suppose next you will want flat screen TV's and used cars. And who covers the verizon cell phone monthly contract? And if you have a cell phone contract, the basic phone comes free.

Sorry for the rant as I am very willing to help those in need. Cell phones take it a step to far IMHO.

when i was just starting out i worked for everything i needed - and then i worked even more to get the things i wanted!

am more likely to help those who are finishing up rather than starting out.
