"Live Action says Planned Parenthood and other U.S. abortion providers are willing to assist in the termination of baby girls for pregnant women who choose abortion because they want to have baby boys. And the pro-life abortion watchdog says its video series and a new website will expose it all."
This is what happens on the first video...
"The first in what Live Action says is a series of videotaped incidents exposing American abortion facilities’ willingness to assist in sex-selection abortions took place at a South Austin, Texas Planned Parenthood clinic. In the footage, a Planned Parenthood counselor appears to readily assist and advise a Live Action actor who said she was trying to obtain an abortion if her baby is female."
"In this video, what is astounding is that Rebecca, the Planned Parenthood counselor, starts arranging with the actor about how to get a late-term abortion,” Rose said. “To wait until her pregnancy is so developed that — and using Medicaid for this, using the state to pay for the ultrasound to determine the gender, and then to do a late term abortion if it was a little girl.”

Believe that the worker that had this conversation about what the sex of the unborn child would be was fired because of his lack of ethics in discussing this matter.

if so, maybe he had different ethics? or might he have been considered 'letting the cat out of the bag'? hmmmmmm

We're talking Planned Parenthood. The only "mistake" she made was in being recorded.
NOW!!; let's hear from all you apologists on the "good things" that this organization does and sweep this under the rug as quick as we can.
I'm sure the MSM is going to do it's part by grossly underreporting on this.

It is not uncommon for people to become complacent and desensitized to what has become common everyday events. They just make the necessary physical and psychological adjustments. Add to that
you have people who work obviously would only work at Planned parenthood because they believe in pro-choice and abortion as the remedy. so it is a short leap from we will do an abortion to we also do abortions for the purposes of sex selection after all its your right and your choice.
To pro-life people this sort of thinking and things is horrifying, shameful and immoral.

This was an isolated instance and the worker was fired from the job. It was a set-up situation so no fetus was in danger.
Yes, an abortion is up to the mother to decide for herself. It is her own personal choice and IS the law of the land.
I always like to ask - and never get a straight answer - what would you do if your daughter or grand-daughter had an abortion and told you about it? Or was planning to have an abortion and told you it was going to be done?

It is interesting that as I read about this situation, I ran into this on a bill in the house to make this kind of thing (abortion based on the sex of the child). The bill would impose criminal penalties on folks involved in this kind of activity.
It would seem that this would be a no brainer, but it is not with our wonderful congress.
"The House will vote this week on legislation imposing criminal penalties on anyone performing an abortion based on the sex of the child, but the measure runs the risk of failing on the floor because of how the GOP is calling it up.
Republican leaders have scheduled a vote on H.R. 3541, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA), under a suspension of House rules, which will require a two-thirds majority vote for passage. Suspension votes are usually reserved for non-controversial bills, but Republican leaders have occasionally used the process for bills that Democrats oppose, and the PRENDA bill appears to be one of those.
Democratic opposition to the bill began with its original name, the Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Non-discrimination Act. Democrats argued in February that while the bill was named after these civil rights heroes, it has nothing to do with protecting civil rights.
"It is offensive that the sponsors of this bill would invoke the names of two of our nation's historic civil rights pioneers," House Judiciary Committee ranking member John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) said.
The original name reflected that the bill also sought to ban abortions based on the race of the child. But Republicans agreed to strike that language from the bill as it was being considered in the Judiciary committee, and also changed the name of the bill.
Still, the bill was voted out of committee with only Republican support. That partisan vote, and Democrats' ongoing opposition to the bill, could make it difficult for the bill to be approved by a two-thirds vote on the floor. Roughly 50 Democrats would need to join Republicans to pass the bill under suspension of the rules."
House to vote on bill penalizing abortion based on sex of child - The Hill's Floor Action (http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/229775-gop-abortion-bill-could-face-trouble-on-floor)
Am I reading this correctly that the Democrats oppose this bill simply because of how it was named ? Am I missing something....maybe some of you Dems can answer because I sure dont understand but it could be just me !

That bill would be the nose of the camel under the tent. It is a precursor to banning abortions altogether and to taking the country back to the early 1960's and the back alley abortions with a coat hanger. It would most likely be unconstitutional IF passed - of which there is no chance at all. Roe v Wade made having an abortion legal and THE LAW OF THE LAND.
Once again, there was no answer to my question. Guess the conservatives would berate their daughter/grand-daughter and disown them if the young ladies had an abortion. Great parenting!

Look no further than the words of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood:
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people
On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.
On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
"More children from the fit, less from the unfit -- that is the chief aim of birth control." Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
On the extermination of blacks:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon
On respecting the rights of the mentally ill:
In her "Plan for Peace," Sanger outlined her strategy for eradication of those she deemed "feebleminded." Among the steps included in her evil scheme were immigration restrictions; compulsory sterilization; segregation to a lifetime of farm work; etc. Birth Control Review, April 1932, p. 107

Despite your sarcastic attitude and your always general assumption about people that you do not know and your immediate put down of such people, I will try to speak for myself, because I have no grandiose opinion of myself and do not pretend to speak for anyone else but me.
Assuming this is the question...
"what would you do if your daughter or grand-daughter had an abortion and told you about it? Or was planning to have an abortion and told you it was going to be done?"
Assuming that she is of age, I dont think whether Republican or Democrat, Liberal or Conservative because again unlike you, most folks do not measure by party or what side they favor politically, but in a situation like this with love.
If she had the abortion, it is over....I would love her, console her if she is upset and go on with life.
If she came to me with plans, I would sit her down, hold her, hug her and tell her how I feel about it....discuss the ramifications, both socially and religiously and insure that she is and has received sufficient guidance.
If she is not of age, and in my care, I would weigh the reasons for the considered abortion.....if it is done and she is under age, I would be on the phone with my lawyer....if not done I want to know the reason for the planned abortion, and insure we get the proper guidance and advice.
Again, your comments always seem to have this little compartment for people that you place them in. That is not how life is for me anyway...when you use the terms you use to describe people I often wonder why you insult like that since people cannot be put into little neat groups like that. You seem to want this issue to be political only....my opinion is that when it happens to the individual, it is just that....individual...if it happens to someone you love, it is not any party or leanings, it is your heart and soul that is involved.
I do not believe in abortion...I flat out think it is murder. My daughter or my granddaughter involved does not change that...but when you ask "conservatives" this question I get confused because THEN you are not one of your neat little titles...you are a father, or grandfather first so the question does not deserve an answer if you are not sensitive to that but I tried !!

I can think of more than a few human beings in this world whose lives I wouldn't mind seeing aborted.
It's sad to me that the only ones I definitely have no problem in the continuation of their own lives, are the ones you mainly argue for the continued ability to foment their legal destruction.

the broad-brushing of ANY group is downright wrong! a group is made up of INDIVIDUALS. and as a conservative woman, i strongly resent being described as a person who would berate OR disown a daughter or grandaughter who had an abortion. matter of fact, i'm growing livid that someone who does not know me nor know about me would even think that i would - much less post that i would!

Richie, you as much as anyone should know that this person is probably risking prosecution on a number of counts (late term abortions are more heavily restricted as well they should be).
Now, let's assume that this was illegal in addition to unethical.
If this person was trained to do this, then the perosn doing the training is also breaking the law.
I'm not one of those who screams about the 'sting' operation when what's being done isn't illegal (lying to an abortion provider is, I would imagine, protected free speech).

Well, then - how about another option question?
If your teen age grand-daughter stated she was pregnant and going to have an abortion since she did not want to care for a child at this point in her life; her parents agreed; but you think it is flat out murder to have an abortion - would you step up to the plate and say you and your spouse will take the baby and raise it, paying for everything yourselves? Naturally, you would have to move away from The Villages since no child under 19 can live here more than 30 days a year.
This is not a political question - nor is it putting anyone in a conservative or liberal group. It is just a question that I would like to get some viewpoints on.

I am not quite sure your fascination with the personal questions and your attempt to not be political. I will just tell you that ALL conservatives are not anti abortion, nor are ALL liberals pro abortion and I could go on and on with examples in many areas.
You tend to make such generalizations put everyone into a niche that is comfortable for you.
Personal situations transcend politics, religion and there are so many factors at play that to disguise your intent is really not a nice thing to do and then to end your post on a flip note.
Sorry, I tried very hard to accomodate but no more.

I know what you mean and a healthy white baby - especially female - will not have a hard time finding a home. Does the same go for a black child whose parent was using crack during the pregnancy? Or the black child who was born with AIDS? I would venture a guess to say those children will do their growing up in an institution.

If you decline to answer, that is fine with me.
This was non-political completely, I did not make any generalization, I did not ridicule anyone, the "flip" of moving from The Villages is 100% true and was not supposed to be funny, and I wanted to know IF someone truly opposed to abortion would adopt an unwanted child - especially one from a close relative - knowing what finanacial hardship and personal choices would have to be made for the next 18 plus years.

Buggy, suggest you check your facts before going down this road and imply racism on the part of people who are pro-life. In most states there are people open to adoption of babies of any race or condition. Your guess does not correspond with the facts. One of my daughter's close friends adopted black triplets who were far from being models of health. They have grown into bright, heathy people who will go to college and will, in all probability, be contributing members of society.I am familiar with this situation since I donated a Prego triplet stroller given at her shower (no, I did not attend).
Having raised twins, I question her sanity in making such a decision, but that was her business. She was and is a Mormon and if you think you cannot find a good home for any child, visit your local LDS church.

Yes, there are some people open to adoption of hard-to-adopt children, but they are not the norm. You cited one very good person who adopted the triplets. Go to any large inner-city (Washington DC, Chicago, New York, etc) and you will find the crack babies and AIDS babies who have very little chance of being adopted by anyone.

Is this actually happening.... yes from what I have read. Did it happen this time....no. This was a conversation, a sting operation, but no abortion took place. Planned Parenthood did not offer a late term abortion just offered information on how they could determine the sex of the baby.
I don't think they should have gone that far...but the video shows that the PP person didn't come down on either side as the fake abortion seeker thanks her for not being judgemental. And she does say I hope you get the boy!

to be fair and perhaps less race based the example has to state whether a white or black family would adopt a clean white female vs black crack/aids baby.....it may not have been the intention in the original post to imply who would or would not adopt which of the examples given.
When all gets said and done the real story is a clean white or black female would be adopted by a white or black family
....whereas a white or black crack/aids baby would not be adopted by white or black folks.

He will never have a normal life. I wish I could get my hands on his biological mother. Another cousin adopted a black little girl. She is a real sweetheart.
