Pool water delivery?

I'm going to be filling a new pool soon, and I'm wondering if it would be more economical to have bulk water delivered instead of filling it from the tap. I know TV water is priced on a sliding scale, and I'm thinking that enough water to fill a pool should reach the top of the scale! Does anyone here have any experience with this?

I filled mine with the garden hose, that way I knew what quality of water I was putting into my pool.
If you have someone deliver the water, they are going to have to pay for it, unless they pump it out of a creek somewhere. I doubt if the $ difference would be significant. Buyer beware.

I'm pretty sure I checked this out before and there is no delivery service. When I asked how much it would cost to fill the pool, I think I was told around $400. The pool has been filled, emptied and filled again by T&D. I await the bill.

you would think in the land of pools there would be a truck. When we had our pool filled up north it was $250 and it was twice the size of the pools in the TV

Thanks for letting me know what it cost "out of the hose". I had heard horror stories about it being MUCH higher than that.

Cost me 50 bucks your sewer charge stops at 10000 doesnt cost as much as you think. 12000 gallon pool took 9 hours to fill with garden hose not a big deal. Besure they start the fill as soon as they plaster the walls. Mar cite (if I spelled it right) cures under water but I'm sure the contractor knows that.Have fun

When we had pavers put around our pool, they had to drain it. We filled it with the garden hose and our water bill was $35.00 more than the month before.

My bill shows $3.17 per 1000 gal up to 8000 gallons. After that, not sure what they charge, but $50 total sounds reasonable to me.

We have a small pooling going in currently; were told by the construction company the water fill would be approximately $40.00. However, the pool company has to call (someone) and inform them this is a "pool fill" so we are not charged an additional $150.00 for sewage??????

I have a 14700 gallon pool that needed to be filled and then refilled (they had to fix a spot they didn't notice). The pool company paid for the second fill since it was their error. I put the total price for the fill at around $75 bucks.

Sumter county no longer will exempt the pool fill but I think there may be a max sewer charge anyway as mentioned.
