While this will appear in the paper someday, not everyone reads the sports pages, so I thought I'd throw this out there.
The Village Merchants Softball Team, comprised of 65-70 year olds, traveled to Reno, Nevada this past week and competed against the best that California and the rest of the west has to offer.
Playing Seven games in 30 hours, the Villages lost the final game of the event, to the perennial world champion Omen 65 of California.
A remarkable feat for the boys of The Villages!
