I have a 2bd. Austin and would like to know if anyone out there has a kitchen with a ceiling fan in the middle and pendent lights over the counter? I'm afraid that if I hang pendents it might look like too much going on with the ceiling, but I really want them. Could use recessed lighting but would prefer to have pendents hanging. Appreciate your thoughts

To decide if it is too much for YOU, cut heavy wine or string to the correct length with a paper cut out in the form of a pendant and scotch tape it to the overheads or where you would place pendants. Makes it easier to visualize what is in your line of vision.

I have an Austin and have pot lights about the counter. I tried the pendants and took them back. I didn't like the look. (just my opinion) I don't have a fan either but instead had a solar tube installed as I like light , bright kitchens. The pendants I picked out just seemed too small for the space. Good idea about trying to hang wire just to see if it would be too much.
