We do not want to close in our Lanai but we are tired of the water and dirt coming in. Since we have tiled it their is not enough room to put in one of those drain in the metal part of the screen. Any suggestions?

Drill a small drain hole or two where the water gathers right at the top of the grout. and outside right opposite. Should clear up the water problem.

We have the same problem and tried the drilling, it didn't work. Now I have drill holes in my grout and metal frame. :-(

A trip to ACE Hardware may help. Our lanai would not drain properly resulting in an accumulation of water and dirt. ACE carries a plastic toilet shim (4-pk) that can be installed under the aluminum bottom channel creating a gap between it and the concrete. No drilling, no permanent alteration. Just loosen the mounting screws and tap the wedges in place. Worked for me. Doug

There is a guy on here that sells drains that he puts in. They have a removeable cover on the inside so when it rain the cover can be removed and the water drains. a neighbor has them and they work great. I'll try and get the info.

B&J Services 352-259-2744 or 352-454-6448 . He installs the drains. He designed them and got a patent for them.

Is it possible to give a ball park figure on the cost these drains from BJ Services.

Thanks,

Jack

We just had these drains installed by BJ Services 2 weeks ago. Cost is $60.00 each installed. Works great!
