I am disappointed with my oven. It is supposed to be the top level TV offers for our new home. If I put a cast iron or any heavy pot on the oven rack to bake, the rack sags. This can be dangerous. The pot could fall and all the contents all over.

To add to my displeasure it stopped working the other day. Would not heat. Called warrenty dept and they had me call Whirlpool. It was something in the "relay" in the circuit panel. Tech fixed it. He said it could happen again and I would need a new electronic panel.

I asked him about the fact that the racks sag. He says he sees it all the time. Parts are made in China and manufacturers are not using the same gauge steel in the racks anymore. So how am I supposed to cook something like a big turkey with sagging racks?? I know, I know, everything else is sagging too!

BTW we have only used this new oven for 3 months-as long as we have been here.

Sorry your rack is sagging....wait, that doesn't sound right. Let me try this again. Sorry your oven racks aren't holding up. Wait, that doesn't sound too goo either. Anyhow, really....after three months that shouldn't happen. I have a wall oven too and have yet to put anything heavy in it but thanks for the heads up when I do. I think it's what the world is coming to. Everything is made in China....not good.

How did I get a KitchenAid you ask? This house was planned by another couple and they had put in many upgrades including a pool. I understand they had to back out due to illness. I guess it became a "spec" house. The agent we had worked with in Oct when we rented for 6 weeks, lead us to it in Feb after we sold our NJ house. We closed in mid March.

All our appliances are KitchenAid.

You learn somethin' new every day. Hope you get this fixed. We have found that warranty is very helpful.

Now that's funny :1rotfl::1rotfl:

I want to know which of you wrote that?

If the warrantee can't fix it you can have the racks reinforced by welding a few rods in by a local shop.

Yeah, it'll be functional but it won't be pretty! :1rotfl:

That depends on the metal shop who does it.
Really it can be made for less than you think.
