Joe&Paula, On my visit today I ventured south of 466A for the first time since my visit last October. What a change in 8 months south of 466A! Hoping your build goes well and enjoy your new home in Fernandina.

How exciting! And welcome!
It may get a little frustrating during the process but in the end, well worth it.

Hi Joe and Paula! We have a Design meeting that same day. We are also moving to Fernandina #208 which I think is across Pinellas from where you are. Our houses should be done about the same time. Exciting and fun time! Send me an email. Maybe we can compare notes while we are both there.

:coolsmiley::coolsmiley::coolsmiley:I hope you do not get frustrated. For us, it was a wonderful experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. We built a home 8 years ago and I'll tell you the difference was night and day. The people at TV have really made the process user or customer friendly. We had fun going through the design center, picking out the granite and meeting with the builder and the subs after we closed. The only stress we received was because of the loan processor overlooking our lot deposit and not crediting it to us in the first HUD-1. Once that was resolved it was clear sailing. :spoken:

Hi Joe & Paula -
Good luck with your design meeting in 3 weeks! We just had ours 2 weeks ago, and our house will be ready by mid-August. We're also in Fernandina, in Unit 208 -- it looks like you're south of us in Unit 206. Looking forward to meeting more Fernandinans!

It's great meeting everyone. We may have to cancel our build as the house is not selling as quickly as we had hoped . We will still visit TV on July 1, if we can't build then we'll rent for the winter months. Hopefully, we will build!!! We would love to meet everyone!

It is frightening, stressful and difficult relocating from one part of the world to another, not to mention the awful ups and downs of selling a house, and waiting, hoping, and in some cases watching deals fall through on that end. Then the letting go of old possessions and friends and the hard work of moving, emotionally and physical. It has been a year since we made the move and it is so much easier to look back on it than to go through it.
To all of you embarking on the journey, up to your nostrils in the middle of the journey or hopefully waiting for the journey to begin, we send our support and good thoughts.
It is so worth it, living here in lower Paradise.
You aren't alone.
ANd in answer to your other question...there is a lot of storage just off campus available here and not very expensive too.
Hurry home!

Hi Joe and Paula. My name is Nancy, and my husband and I will be building in Fernandina too! We do not have a meeting until Aug 26, earliest we could get, but we are on Abana Path. We will be neighbors!
