Flippers opened today at 3 pm. As we were walking over to find out the latest, they put the "Open For Business" sign on the door. We went in and had a cheese pizza and bread-sticks. It was worth the wait. Food and service were both excellent.

Where is it?

It's the old Pauly's Pizza location, just off the square.

thin crust or thick crust?

I'm sure it's not a Vic's or Mom's Kitchen pizza but lets hope theirs is a very close 2nd:bowdown:

Pete & Eldas is better than either. (insider NJ comment)

We stopped there today for lunch. 12" pie, traditional crust, sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni, black olive & onion. = $17.07

But, a very flavorful pizza. Good sweet sausage.

They also offer what they call Neopolitan thin and a 'thick' pie.

If I had a negative it would be that I would have liked a little more of the olives, onion, sausage etc.

I'll go back!

I was blown away from the food and the service! Some of the best pizza I've ever had and the service was better than all of the "nice" restaurants around. If you want cheap/fast food go elsewhere; they actually make everything fresh to order, which is WAY worth the extra few minutes more than a fast-food pizza chain would take. They have lunch specials, draft beer, and wine. I'm definitely becoming a regular to Flippers. THEY DELIVER TOO!

Thank you for posting the menu. Hey they serve a Windy City pizza so they have my vote. :icon_hungry:

We ate there last night and the pizza is as good as we've had from Paulys to Bella to Belleview. A bit pricey at $33 for two teas, thin crust medium 14 " extra cheese 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 olive and bread sticks with a tip. The food was great and service outstanding. The breadsticks are to die for but way too much for 2 people and a pizza. Soft opening and the owrd was out...it was hopping!

Looks like we have a fabulous pizza place here in the bubble. Now let's see how NYPD pizza fares. Hope they are as good......

Went there last night and had the Windy City pizza. Double sweet Italian sausage, parmesean and romano cheese. We ordered the tinh crust. We had the 16" and it got a little soggy towards the middle. Talked to the manager and said to tell them next time to make it extra crispy or well done. Wonderful pizza, great service. Hope they can keep it up.

We order pizza extra crispy wherever we go. That way, they know our preference right from the start.

We just had lunch there and we had to give it two thumbs up. We shared the chopped Greek salad--it was huge! We also had a 12" thin crust with olives, feta, artichokes and carmelized onions. Pizza was excellent--not too soggy nor too well done. We couldn't finish the pizza so we have dinner for tonight.

The service was excellent, they continually asked how everything was and frequently refilled our soft drinks (even offered to go cups for our refills).

A very pleasant experience--we'll be back!

Went there this afternoon for early supper. The wife and I had two 12" thin crust pizzas. She had a plain one and I ordered with sweet sausage and black olives. We both thought the pizza was excellent. However I thought the pizza should have oregano. We talked to the owner and I mentioned the oregano. He said that some of the special pizzas had oregano. He also said that home delivery will not extend south of 466 so for those of us south of 466 we're out of luck.

Went to Flipper's today for lunch. GREAT! Many servers present but that's because some of them are from Orlando assisting in the opening of the restaurant. The server we had today was obviously new to the profession and struggled. Lunch menu is terrific with the my pie (individual pie) at only $5.99 and includes a beverage. Hot sandwich was excellent as well. A BIG step up from Paulie's which imo deteriorated over the past couple of years.

They did not have shakers of oregano and crushed peppers on the tables? Was there any salt and pepper?

JohnInterestingly, Flippers is closer to and it takes less time for them to reach our home in Hadley than it takes Toscani's at Rt 42 in the Mulberry Grove Plaza, but Toscani's will deliver and Flippers won't? Makes me wonder if Flippers is planning another location around Brownwood that will cover south of 466! Or could they just be testing how they can handle the limited territory first? Guess I won't be trying anything from Flippers unless things change!

Just got back from Flippers for lunch. All I can say that it was a very good pizza and the servers were very friendly. Everything was excellent. Lunch for the two of us was just under $15.00 and included a my pan pizza with two toppings and a soft drink. Would be going back love it. As far as the oregano and crushed peppers shakers they put them on the table along with extra napkins on the table when we sat down. :mmmm::mmmm:

We were also there for lunch today and had the lunch special with my son. He had the flat bread and I had an individual sausage and pepper pizza. Hot pepper flakes and parm. cheese brought to the table and I requested oregano and was cheerfully served. GREAT pizza..........Just like being back in NJ for the great pizza's there. Would HIGHLY recommend Flippers for delicious food and great service. The manager came and chatted with us to find out how we liked everything. He said they are working on getting a location in Brownwood. I told him he would make a killing and please many of us Southern residents. They would also offer home delivery!!!!!!!! Finger's are crossed:a040:

Went to Flippers tonight with friends and we all thought the pizza was very good. I am disappointed that they will not deliver south of 466. Maybe they will reconsider if enough of us request it.
