We used M&M to do Attic Stairs and then had them back to install gutters. In each case they were right on time (if not early) and completed the work promptly. Their work was professional and their price estimate was spot on and very reasonable. I would highly recommend.

M&M services installed attic stairs and some flooring. Installers were capable, accomadating, and professional. I will call them next week to install downspout drains. The were on time and on budget.

Are the attic stair installations fire rated ( 30 min. minimum) ?

Used M&M for gutters for our Iris in Sanibel and was very satisfied with the price, quality and workmanship.

Are the attic stair installations fire rated ( 30 min. minimum) ?

Absolutely not. M&M did our pull down attic stairs last year. They used 3/8" plywood to cover the pul down stair. The garage ceiling is 1/2" sheet rock which would have to be applied over the 3/8" plywood to even come close to the 30 min fire rating. What surprised me the most was how M&M didn't use shims between the attic stair frame and the studs. (There's a 1" space all around between the frame and the attic rafters.

As a result when people on TOTV praise a particular contractor you have to ask "are they the best judge of a good job." When I pointed out the missing shims to the M&M installer, he replied, "that's how they do it here in FL." Do the stairs work--yes but I would never have hung them myself that way.
